A day off

A wonderful sunrise rose above the Earth. Tobi had no work today and it was the weekend. All of his close friends planned a meet-up the night before. Around noon, Tobi and Judith met up at their village bus stop and went to the city. The bus also visited a nearby village, where Claire got on. They waited quite a while before Christine and Dan showed up, along with Peter, and an even longer while before Lilly and Phillip arrived.

In case of any emergencies, Tobi wore his miraculous. It camouflaged into a spiked collar with chains. He also gave Judith her's, which turned into a pretty crystal butterfly. Their kwamis were safely tucked away in Tobi's backpack. They first went out for lunch to a sushi restaurant "I love this place!" Judith exclaimed with exitement. Everyone chuckled and Tobi pat her on the head. They went inside and sat at the nearest empty table, which was at the far back of the restaurant, because it was just busy hours. They soon ordered and feasted. Many judgemental looks were shared, and even more questionable moments, along with lots of laughs. "So... Guys?" Tobi looked at his friends. "Yeah??" Christine raised her eyebrows "I met a boy..." He said shyly. "Did you fuck him?" Phillip added. "Bruh, who do you think I am? We haven't met yet. But he's really sweet." "TOBI! You haven't met him yet! How can you say that?" Phillip got mad "Do I need to remind you that your relationship is long distance?" Tobi shut him up "Anyway, tell me more about him!" Lilly leaned in "His name is Richard... He's twenty two, he works in IT and.... He's in hospital right now." "What?!" Dan widened his eyes "I don't really wanna talk about it, for the sake of his privacy." Phillip and Claire stared him deep in the eyes as the sipped their Saké, since they were the only adults. "I'm not gonna talk about it, back off." He insisted "Okay, okay, fine. I'm just trying to get the juicy details" Phillip smiled, already feeling a little tipsy. They talked, gossiped, drank and ate. Judith asked for the bill and the waitress happily came back with it. "Give us a minute please, we just need to split it ourselves, thank you." She smmiled and the waitress left. Judith turned to the group "So... Dine and dash?" Everyone's eyes widened as they stared at her "JUDITH!" they yelled out. "Of course" Dan addded and they calmly left the restaurant.

Tobi kept on checking his other phone, scouting for any akuma attacks. He almost couldn't believe that today way risk free. At least it was so far. They weren't out of danger's ways, since they decided to take a shortcut through a shady park. Tobi saw one of his friends there. "Joe! Hey man!" He smiled and waved. Joe came over and greeted everyone "You guys want some weed?" Dan smiled and agreed and so did Tobi and Peter. Christine stood in shock "You do weed!?" Dan just turned to her "...yeah... You want some too?" "...Maybe later" she chuckled and they went for a joint. "It's pretty weak, sorry for that" Joe chuckled. He then looked at Judith "That's a pretty head piece you've got there. Mind if I take a look?" as he reached for her miraculous. She quickly covered it and backed away "N-No, it was my grandma's, she's gone now. It's also pretty fragile." She explained "Oh come on" He pushed "If it's fragile, why would you take it to a park?" He reached out again. Lilly jumped in between them "She said no. Back off." She pierced him with her stare "Please, it's not serious, I just wanna look at it, move" He gently pushed her aside. Tobi grabbed him and yanked him away "Hey. Joe. She said no and Judith is always really careful about that comb. Please repect that." He said with a stern voice. "Geez, fine" He rolled his eyes as Tobi thanked him. They sat with him for a while longer, Judith stayed aware of his every move. She really didn't wanna risk revealing her miraculous, not now at least.

Suddenly, Tobi's phone began buzzing. A shiver ran across his back as he reached for his real phone first. Richard was calling. He excused himself and picked up with a sigh of relief. Meanwhile, tipsy Phillip and slightly high Dan and Peter were doing dumb stuff in the park, while Judith was calming Claire down. She began crying not too long after Tobi left. "My mom called me! I just said I was sorry that I didn't do the dished and she exploded. She said I need to go home as soon as I can. I'm so afraid. I don't know what she's gonna do to me. Do you realize how horrible it is?! I don't know what my own mother is going ot do to me. HER DAUGHTER!" Judith hugged her, saying words of comfort and so did Lilly. Joe turned to them "Hey Claire... A little weed could calm you. It usually works for me. No pressure though." He smiled. She looked at him and asked for a cigarette instead. He pulled out a pack and gave her one, along with a lighter "I owe you my life." She smiled and lit it. Judith kept nagging her about the dangers of smoking, Claire retailiated with the dangers of her mother. She was a cruel one. Keeping a close eye on her adult daughter, almost never letting her go out with friends.

Tobi returned with a saddened expression. Claire turned to him "What's wrong?" Judith replied to Claire "Girl, we're dealing with your problems, he can wait." Christine touched Tobi's shoulder and smiled "Talk to me."  "Well..." He began "Basically Richard is leaving for an eight-week-long therapeutic trip. So we'll see each other in like three months." He exhaled. "Well, at least he'll get better, right?" Christine hugged him. "You know what, you're right. Plus, I'm too pretty to be sad. Being sad is for poor people." He chuckled and lit a cigarette. Phillip was already laying in the grass, calling with his partner as Dan and Peter practiced skateboard tricks. The only problem was, they have both forgotten their skates at home, but it didn't seem to bother either of them. Joe suddenly stood up, all alert. He whispered "Cops" Everyone turned to him "Cops?" Claire repeated "Shut it. Shut it and go." They all got up as Joe led them away to safety. "It happens from time to time, you need to be careful." Phillip asked him "Yeah, and how old are you exactly?" "Fifteen. Why?" he replied, still leading them. "Oh." He stood in shock "No reason." and followed the rest, checking every turn they came across.

"Here we are. We're totally safe here" he smiled "Thanks dude" Tobi smiled and hugged him. They were in a remote area, still not too far from the city. They sat near a river and continued chatting. The sun slowly began to set as they got up, ready to go home. They parted with Joe first, went with Lilly and Phillip to a nearby bus stop, then went to another to drop off Christine, Dan and Peter. Claire, Judith and Tobi went to wait for their bus to arrive. They got on, Claire exited first and the rest soon after. Judith passed her home, following Tobi to his. She took of her miraculous and gave it back "Thanks" she smiled, hugged him and left. Tobi went to his room, passing by his mom as he hid the miraculous. He took out the pig miraculous and began to wonder, who could potentially be the new holder for it. It might not be the strongest, but it certainly is useful. He couldn't allow for someone like Empath to defeat them. But he had nobody on his mind. Summer was coming to a close anyway, he's going to see his classmates soon. Distributing the miraculous from his dorm will be a challenge however. Maybe the pig holder could be someone from the dorm? He had no time to wonder about it, since he got called into work at the last minute. He ran in, ready to serve his customers. He had a little argument with his boss. He told her he won't be avalible today at all and she still called him in. Lucky for her, he was avalible. Everything went well for the rest of the night. Tobi returned home far later than expected, fell into his bed and instantly fell asleep.
