The guns were now all aimed at Myra as she spined around in her chair, a smirk plastered on her face.
Sebastian had cleared the crowd, advising everyone to stay at home and lock all their doors and windows. A few people had argued that they were a part of the council and had all rights to stay but once Sebastian told them that it was Myra's orders, everyone hurried into their houses and locked their doors.
Only two people from the council were allowed to stay, Faye and Enzo. Her mother trusted them with all her heart and that was all it took for Myra to trust them too. And of-course there were people with the golden cards, Sebastian, Serena and Calum. They weren't necessarily a part of the council, but they were in all the meetings and were involved in all the decision making.
As everyone said, they had the golden cards. The card being that they always had Myra's full trust. They were her best friends, and it was said that without a doubt, she'd ruin the world for them.
"So are you going to talk or are you waiting for something more dramatic to happen" Serena asked the boy who was now, sitting across Myra. I could easily tell that the fact that he was not even the slightest bit terrified was bothering Myra more than anything.
Who was this guy?
"I am Zane and these are...." he started as he looked around at the guns aimed at Myra "don't mind them"
"You walked into a town full of people you call 'monsters' and you got a few guns to protect you? That's cute" Myra chuckled as she continued spinning
"I need to talk to Katerina Ambrose"
The spinning chair stopped immediately as the smile slowly disappeared from Myra's face.
"You can't talk to-"
"And why would that be? Why do you want to talk to Katerina?" Myra asked interrupting Faye.
"I am afraid I can't tell you. I was asked to only talk to Katerina."
"Well then I am afraid I'll have to just kill you"
The guns were loaded immediately, now aimed at not just Myra but everyone in the room.
"I don't know what you guys think you're going to do with those but whatever it is, I guarantee you, it won't work" Calum shifted his attention from the weird cube in his hands to the gun aimed at him.
"I am going to be using this to kill you of course" the gun moved closer to Calum's head as the man's face filled with disgust but before he could pull the trigger, he collapsed on the floor, his hands around his neck as he gasped for air.
All eyes shot to Myra whose eyes were fixed on Zane, a smile plastered on her face.
"Stop or I'll shoot you!!" someone yelled and it took merely a second for him to fall on the ground too.
Three then four then five. In a split second, there were six lifeless bodies on the floor.
"Stop!!" Zane stood up; his arms stretched out as he tried to shield the three-remaining people. Poor guy didn't know that she didn't need to see them to kill them. Terror was finally flooding his face and it gave Myra a sense of satisfaction. Calum was back to his weird cube, trying to match colors or something, I don't know. Sebastian and Serena were standing in the corner with Faye with Enzo, trying to ignore the seven bodies on the floor. The other three people that were spared were glued to each other, their faces pale with fear.
"Okay I'll stop" she smiled "But you have got to talk then"
"I... can't, I am-"
Another man fell on the ground, dead instantly. I told you; she was insane.
