Nagito looked stunned at what Hajime said, and as he continued eating his sandwich.
"Wh-What are you saying, Haj? Can't you just give me the food now?" Nagito asked, hoping he was joking, but Hajime just kept eating until he finished the sandwich.
"I'm completely serious, Nagito. You'll have to solve a simple murder case riddle, you should be good at that, all things considered. If you get it right, then I'll feed you, but if you get it wrong... Well, I think you can guess." Hajime said with a grin.
"F-Fine! Just tell me already so I can eat!" Nagito yelled, Hajime scrolled through his e-handbook for a minute, before turning the screen around to Nagito and showing him the riddle.
"It's simply a case with 3 suspects, 3 weapons, and 3 locations. You just have to figure out who killed, what they killed with, and where they did it. I think it will be very easy for you." Hajime explained, and handed Nagito the handbook so the white haired boy could scroll through the information, gather the data supplied.
Nagito wasn't sure if Hajime did it on purpose or not, or if he even had control of it, but the case was set up very similar to how the evidence would be set up during one of their trials in the (last) killing game... It even had similar people, weapons, and locations. He could recognize some of the names, one was deemed "Koda", a combination of the first two and last two letters of his given name.
But Nagito didn't bother with the similarities, in fact, he didn't even look at any of the evidence or the statements that the suspects said. After Hajime had handed him the device and Nagito processed what the game was asking for as an answer, the 3 suspects, weapons and locations, he just put in random guesses as answers.
Unsurprisingly, Nagito got it wrong, horribly wrong, he didn't get any of the 3 correct.
Hajime shook his head as Nagito stared at the screen with a fearful look, "Well, that's disappointing, Nagito. I guess you really didn't want anything to eat." And with that, Hajime took the e-handbook from the other's stilled hands, and started walking out of the room. Purposefully leaving Nagito unable to eat, with it being out of the reach of the hospital bed from which he was contained.
"W-WAIT! HAJ, COME BACK!" Nagito yelled, panicked that Hajime was really going to just leave him to starve. He was starting to believe this was the truth, until Hajime walked back in the room, giggling. Nagito stared in disbelief at him.
"Did you really think I wouldn't feed you, Nagito? I brought you all the way here, and made you food, and you thought I wouldn't feed you because you got some dumb riddle wrong?" Hajime joked.
But Nagito didn't find anything funny, "Yeah, I thought you did, can you just feed me now, Haj? I'm starving here!" He said, annoyed, but still desperate for food.
"Fine, fine, alright. Here, say 'ah' ." The brunette said as he grabbed the plate of sandwiches and sat on the bed with Nagito, taking one of the sandwiches from the plate and putting it up to Nagito's mouth. The boy chomped down on the sandwich instantly, finishing it in a minute. As he ate, he was forced to slow down by Hajime, who threatened him with no food otherwise.
When the white haired boy said he was thirsty, Hajime poured him a cup of water and held it to Nagito's lips. Nagito ended up spilling some of the water because of how fast he tried to drink it, and the water ran down from his mouth to his chin and onto his lap. The brunette removed the glass, and used his thumb to get the excess water off of the white haired boy's chin, wiping it off on Nagito's shirt.
After his meal, Nagito got situated under the covers with the assistance of Hajime. Before Hajime could walk out of the room with the empty plate and water pitcher, however, Nagito requested one last thing.
