Chi: The Making of a Hero (My Hero Academia Fanfic with OC)

Chi VS Class 1-A

We assemble in the training building, with just a couple windows and a door. Nothing else resides within it. Aizawa-sensei told me to stand in the middle of the room. I comply and stand in the center of the room, wringing my hands in fear and nervousness. "Alright class. For this activity, you are allowed to let loose and use your quirks." He and Fuuka were standing in the middle of the room with me. "Your goal?" He asked with a little interest. "Get past her quirk barrier." He smirked. "Good luck." He and Fuuka move to the side of the room, out of the way. "You have five minutes. Get started."

As soon as he spoke the final word, all the students power up their quirks. I begin to panic, overwhelmed with everyone's fighting instinct. I trembled as the close-ranged combatants rush me. However, the long distance fighters begin firing off first. I bring my arms over my face in an "x". My shield activates and block their attacks. My quirk sat around me, in the shape of a sphere, nearly invisible to the naked eye. There is a slight iridescent lavender gleam that can be seen if you are paying close enough attention to it. I heard blasts and hits and other explosions pound on my shield. I jump from the impact but I remain safe within.

I know why Aizawa-sensei said five minutes. It is the amount of time I can hold my shield. Anything longer is hard on my body. I peek around my arms to see as Iida kicks at my shield, Deku punching, Todoroki shooting ice, Bakugo blasting explosions, Jiro throwing her earphone jacks, Kaminari sending electrical waves, and so on. Nothing broke through. I notice Deku, Todoroki and Bakugo stand back and watch as the other students try various attacks and combinations to no avail. I notice Ochako make her way to me, and bring her hands together. I wonder what would happen when she touched the shield. She reached out and placed a hand in front of me on the barrier. Everyone waits. Nothing happened.

"What?" Ochako cried as I remain stationary. "What is your quirk?"

"We can't seem even seem to scratch it!" Denki whines, "This seems so overpowered Chi!"

"You all have one minute left!" Aizawa-sensei called out, watching as the students finally begin to understand Chi's quirk. "What do you think they will do Fuuka?" He asks Fuuka as she analyzes Chi.

She turns and smiles. "I don't know but she's fascinating! Seeing her quirk in action is much cooler than just hearing about it. I can see why she wasn't so sure about what to call her quirk." She looks back as the class regrouped. "It can deflect every attack but it seems like she isn't uncertain about her own ability. I can relate to her a little bit." She tilts her head as her eyes fall on Bakugo. "Will anyone be able to figure out her weakness?"

Aizawa-sensei just continues to watch when he notices Fuuka begin to move from beside him. What is she doing? He thinks as he looks over to Chi. She's going to be in trouble if anyone sees her...

I take a breath as I see the students regroup, with everyone chatting about what to do next. I'm panting a little bit and sweat began to form across my forehead. Aizawa-sensei announces that there is one minute remaining in this little exercise. I sigh. I glance over at the three boys who had previously paused in the middle of the barrage of attacks to observe the other students. They stand there looking at me as I wipe the sweat from my face. Suddenly I notice movement by Aizawa-sensei, where Fuuka is. I glimpse over and see Fuuka waving like a maniac, grinning like a madman, saying "Chi! You can do it!"

Startled and flustered that Fuuka is doing something so embarrassing at me, I begin to cover my flushed face. This distraction causes me to lower my shield, too distracted to keep it up or notice it come down.

All of the students were looking at Fuuka-including Bakugo- as she waved to Chi. Unexpectedly, Bakugo notices something happen to Chi. There was a speckle of light that momentarily flickered around Chi and she was covering her cheeks as she shook her head at Fuuka. Something looks off. Bakugo smirks and readies his hands. Todoroki notices the same thing and looks to Chi. Deku catches Bakugo's stance change and then follows their line of sight. All three of them finally understand Chi's ability as she is focused on Fuuka. All three of them think simultaneously, If she is distracted, she's not using her quirk.
