THE TABLE WAS ADORNED
WITH BISCUITS AND ANY TYPE
OF FRUIT YOU COULD IMAGINE.

Strawberries, grapes and even a few kiwis were spread around the table as Max sat soundlessly, his back to the walkway as he awaited the first girl to come down and join him for a date.

He didn't have to wait long, as almost immediately he heard the sound of footsteps in the grass followed by a woman's voice. "Hey, you okay?" she asked, the sweetness in her voice obvious from the very first word.

Max stood up and turned around with a soft grin on his face. His first date happened to be Paige.

"How are you? You good?" Max asked as he embraced the girl, planting a kiss on her cheek in greeting. "It's nice to meet you."

The two sat down opposite of one another as Paige brushed the hair out of her face. "Oh my gosh, I am so nervous." she said as she gave a little chuckle. Max gave the girl a warm smile as he spoke to her, "I'm excited you know."

"So what's your name?" she asked him as took in the man's features, looking across at him intently. "Max, and you're Paige, correct?" he asked politely, albeit already knowing the answer.

The girl smiled sweetly as she nodded before firing another question at him. "So whereabouts are you from?" With no hesitation, the male quickly answered. "I'm from Portsmouth, so I'm a southern lad."

"How about you then?" he asked, turning the question back around on her. "I'm from Wales." she said plainly in response. Max nodded as he took in her answers, enjoying learning about the girl. "What do you do for work?" he asked, moving onto his next line of questioning.

Paige giggled a bit before she answered. "I'm a paramedic." The man's face broke into a soft smile once he heard her, "Key worker you, I love that," he said before clearing his throat. "I'm a personal trainer myself. Do a bit of modeling on the side."
