Liam stood infront of a local karaoke place. He tapped his phone against his palm and looked at the neon sign, pondering if he should go inside or not.

Eventually deciding against his denial, he stepped inside and asked the receptionist for Fallon Carrington. Surprisingly, there was no one under that name. But Monica surely did call him to tell him their wherebouts.

He was frowning and thinking when he heard someone call his name. He turned around to see Monica and Sam approaching him.

"Heyy." They kinda slurred, Liam was shocked. They were drinking?

"Hi. Uhm I couldn't find your room." He said, cautiously.

"Oh uhm, come on, I'll take ya." Monica grabbed his arm and dragged him to their room where Kirby was off tune singing some weird stuff while Fallon was slouching on the couch.

Disco lights were illuminating the room, the stench of alchohol and snacks filled the small space. Liam scrunched his nose as he was slammed down on the couch beside Fallon, by Sam.

"Sorry." He apologized as the girl looked at him startled.

"Hey." She greeted breathlessly, a callous smile playing on her face as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.

"Hi." Liam smiled.

He felt a bit odd because of how smiley Fallon was. It was unusual. He looked at her skeptically.

"You okay?"

"Obvi, why wouldn't I be?" She giggled.

Liam would've swooned at the sound of her giggle if not for her slumping on the table right after. He crossed his arms on the table and laid his head on it, staring at Fallon's now sleeping face.

She looked so peaceful, the blaring music and Kirby's voice zoming out in the background as he tried to memorize every inch of her face. Not a single detail going past his eyes. His heart was skipping beats, and he couldn't stop smiling.

A strand of hair fell down her eyes and Liam instinctually raised his hand to move the strand away.

He took his time, carefully lingering his fingers against her soft skin, enjoying the warmth, and loving how it tingled. He tucked the hair securely behind her ear and moved his hand away, rather reluctantly to be honest.

The night went on long and the whole time, Liam stayed. He never felt this lively before. This gang around him, the love and rejoice they spreaded, he was enjoying it to the bits. Eventually he called cabs for all of them and decided to take Fallon to her home, himself.

It needed a lot of convincing to her friends that he had no bad intetion then they let him go.

"You know you seem really nice for a Hawkes guy." Fallon said as he was driving to the well-known Carrington manor. He smiled at her.

"But you should not hang out with them." She babbled. "They are mean people. They always annoy me and my friends. They tease me. Specially that Colin guy. He used to like me back when we were in middle school."

Liam felt a knot in his stomach.

"He said he wanted me. Then I said no and that's when the teasing started. The others, they always watched. Never stopped him or Eric. They are so bad. So so bad." She pouted as a tear fell down her cheek.

Liam's hand itched to hold hers, or wipe the tear away, his eyes slightly moistured as he looked sideways.

"Eric, he's the meanest. He- he hurt me." Fallon sniffled and pressed her fingers to her eyes.

Liam clenched his fingers around the steering wheel as he let the words sink in. The painful confession of this girl was tearing his heart apart and he was desperate to comfort her in his arms. He had never felt this way for anyone before. Not even Ashley.

"What did he do?" He asked through gritted teeth.

When no response came, he turned to see Fallon had already passed out with her head against the window. He stopped infront of the manor and stared fondly at her. His heart was being too silly. He was feeling like he was losing control over it. But he didn't mind. Not one bit.

The smile was still there as Liam returned after securely reaching Fallon to her room, led by their butler, Anders. A sweet soul.

But there was also that gnawing feeling. Eric, that guy hurt Fallon and he felt furious about that. He had never cared this much for anyone. It was surprising thing for himself as how much he cared for the girl he just met two days ago. There was a connection, a deep tether pulling him towards her.

"I'm gonna give an assignment to you all to work on with partners. Get it ready in a week and then I'll grade you. The mark will be added to your finals." Mrs. Harriet announced and everyone groaned in annoyance.

Fallon felt a thud in her chest, she secretly hoped it to be Liam so they could spend more time together.

Ever since that night two days ago, Fallon had started feeling things for Liam.

This blonde headed, steel blue eyed boy had somehow managed to make her feel safe. She felt peace confiding in him and it brought her a closure she never knew she needed.

She was more confident now, she was happy to come to school and she expected his glance every once in a while. Her life was turning around, Fallon was feeling a burning passion building inside her.

As their eyes locked, Liam gave his million dollar dimple smile and Fallon swooned, blush decorating her cheeks as she ducked her head low.

"Liam and Monica." Mrs. Harriet started the pairing and Fallon's heart dropped, so did Liam's.

"Sam and Kirby. Jeff and Joana. Colin and Flora." The list went on and on.

Fallon was disheartened as she waited paitently for her name to be announced.

"Fallon and Eric."

Tears sprung to her eyes as Fallon looked helplessly at an equally shocked Liam. Both of them were speaking words through their eyes and nothing came out of their mouths.

"I'll talk to Mrs. Harriet." Liam said when they all met outside the classroom.

Fallon couldn't unsee the smirk that Eric threw her way before leaving. It was making all those memories come to surface, and she bit her bottom lip harshly.

"It's no point. She'll only want us all to 'bond'." Monica spat.

"Then what do we do?" Kirby asked.

"We stay with Fallon, one by one, everytime they have to work together." Sam suggested.

"I'll stay with her mostly." Liam blurted out.

They all looked at him with suspicious eyes but nodded anyway.

"Mission protect Fal on!"
