A cut deep through rubber. Luffy x Zoro angst.

BITCH YOU WILL FVCKING EAT.

After the incident, the crew had not been the same. Sanji stoped making as much extra snacks for the girls, instead spending most of his time preparing snacks and food for Zoro, trying to get Luffy to come down, and comforting Ussop. And... it was not going well with Luffy. He had sat on the sunny's head for about a day, and when Sanji had gone to try and get him to take care of himself, he just stretched his arm and flew up to the roof of the crows nest. Luffy also hadn't eaten or drank anything since the incident.

Robin and Nami were in charge of helping Zoro out, and he was doing better than Luffy, by a long shot. When they weren't comforting Zoro, Robin was reading and researching, but would have to comfort Nami at night. And Nami mainly spent her days spilling over on her maps, over and over, even ones she knew by heart. Just for the comforting simplicity of it.

Franky and chopper spent their time doing their respective professions, Franky spending 90% of his time trying to improve the ship, and chopper obsessing over all of his medicines and making sure he has a shit ton of extra doses, because 'You can never be to prepared!' {(Choppers adorable)}

Ussop spent a lot of time holed up in his Inventor Room, and rarely left. Not even for food, but Sanji brought him food and ate with him. Ussop spent his time making invention after invention, upgrading his weapons, and honestly doing any project he could. It could something as dumb as inventing a device that has the only purpose of brushing hair in a different way. Anything that he could work on as a distraction.

Even when the crew was under attack, the fight wouldn't last long. Luffy would take out a shit ton of rage on anyone who threatened the Sunny, Zoro aswell, but they would not speak to one another. The rest of the crew didn't really fight much, Luffy & Zoro taking all the fun. The longest fight was for 30 mins, and that was because Luffy was about to pass out. (From lack of sleep and food.) [It was also the most recent fight.]
———————(3rd person) Sanji's POV———————

^Why the hell do I have such a stubborn moron for a captain?^ Sanji asked himself this quite a bit, but now he thought and said it more then ever. After the 'incident', and Luffy had gone up to the roof of the crows nest, Sanji tried to get him to eat. [Ok, he didn't really, because he didn't know Luffy would refuse to yet] he was just bringing up some food for Luffy, and when he got to the top of the roof, he found Luffy half-asleep. Still in the exact same position as when Sanji last saw him.

"Hey Luffy, I brought you some meat, you gunna eat?" No reply. ^Again, with the fucking silence before answering!^  " Hey! Luffy! Anyone there?!" Sanji was pretty fucking annoyed already, and this was not helping. Sanji walked around to be in the front of Luffy, but was horrified by what he saw.

Luffy's head wound was still bleeding, very slowly, and it looked like it was starting to get infected. Badly. Luffy also looked tired, and sorta dazed and feverish.

"Hey, Luffy, wake up."

Still no reply. This terrified Sanji, and, fearing the worst, he set down the food and sat down in front of Luffy. "Hey, Luffy, if you're dead can I have your hat?" Sanji was, deeply concerned. And he was risking getting thrown overboard even THINKING about taking Luffy's hat, but if this didn't work... it was a lot more serious than it looks, and it looks pretty bad. "Don't you DARE touch my hat." Sanji was never happier to see his captains death glare. Ever. "Hey, I made you some meat, just the way you like it. Ya hungry?" Sanji said as he dragged the small tray of meat into his lap.

"No thanks, I'm not hungry." This was disheartening, surprising, and not surprising all at once. Sanji was three seconds away from shoving the entire platter of food down Luffy's throat.
As Sanji was getting up to go figure out what do with the uneaten food, Luffy said something that surprised Sanji. "Give the extra food to Zoro. He needs to eat. And meat is good for you. He needs that." "Sure thing captain." Zoro does eat a lot. So this won't be to surprising for him. When Sanji was at the edge of the roof, he paused. "Anything else captain?" Luffy was quiet.

^TCH. Stupid captain. This is starting to get real annoying real fast.^ just as Sanji was about to make his decent to the deck, Luffy said "Is Zoro ok? Did Chopper check out his arm? Is he ok?" ... Sanji thought about how he should reply. On one hand, he could tell the truth that Zoro was fine, and chopper did look at his arm, and that he is ok... or... he could be cryptic and vague and make Luffy worry himself into coming down. Finally he decided on just saying "He's fine. Physically. Chopper checked on him. But...... mentally...... I'm not so sure. He's been through his fair share of toxic shit." Luffy stiffened at the words and started shaking slightly as Sanji descended to the deck.

Ussop was waiting for Sanji when he got down. "How did it go with Luffy?" Sanji's anger slipped away when he saw his adorable long-nosed freak, but his exhaustion slipped in taking the place of his anger with Luffy as he said "Not good. He's not eating. And he looked awful. But he still glared at me when I asked if I could have his hat. So... there's definitely still hope for all our sanities." As Sanji spoke, Ussop moved closer to him and somehow maneuvered so he was under Sanji's arm, hugging his chest from the side, and his head on Sanji's shoulder. Sanji didn't even fully realize Ussop was there until he felt Ussop hugging him tight.

Sanji chuckled, and asked Ussop "How do you always manage to do stuff like that?" He was met with Ussop leaving a small kiss on the tip of his nose, somehow, without hitting Sanji in the face with his own. "I'm just amazing like that!" Sanji chuckled again and stole a quick kiss from Ussop, leaving him super flustered and red. "C'mon, let's go update Chopper on how Luffy is doing." "Y-yeah... let's go..."

The next few days weren't much different. Sanji would go check on Luffy, would try to force him to eat, get even more annoyed, Ussop would calm him down a bit, they would update chopper, eat, comfort, and sleep. Repeat.

On one particular day though, Nami and Robin bad convinced Zoro to come out of his room and train on the deck. In the sunlight. Sanji was. . . slightly jealous of the girls success, and even more annoyed that he couldn't get Luffy to eat still. So, he got some meat, put it on a tray, and made his usual climb to the roof of the crows nest.

Once he got there, he was, like many of the other times he had gone up to check on Luffy, sickened. Luffy was thin as a twig, and looked. . . Awful. Sanji, Franky, and Robin [sorta] were the only ones able to stomach the sight. This time, Sanji cut straight to the chase, yelling "BITCH YOU WILL FVCKING EAT." Sanji and Luffy tussled, Sanji trying to force food down Luffys throat and Luffy resisting. All the while, Sanji kept repeating the words 'BITCH YOU WILL FVCKING EAT' Eventually, Luffy did escape, but sat far to close to the edge of the roof. He passed out. He fell. Sanji was horrified about what he was witnessing, but he froze. He wouldn't be able to survive a fall from this height. Only someone like Luffy would be able to.

Zoro spotted his plummeting lover, and saw he was headed straight towards the ocean. He only had a split second to react, but by the time Luffy's unconscious body *Splashed* into the water, Zoro was about to jump in himself.

*SPLASH!!*

*Splash!*

Not even two second after Luffy went under, did Zoro go under after him. For an excruciating 3 minutes, there was nothing. Everyone except Ussop had seen what had happened.

Zoro launched out of the water, gasping for air, holding Luffy close to his chest. When he got them up to the deck, Chopper was immediately on top of them. Checking on first Zoro, since he was quick and conscious, then Luffy. It went silent again as chopper leaned in and listened to Luffy's breathing. Trying to tell if if had stopped.

Silence.

Waiting.

Suspense.

"HE'S STILL BREATHING!"
