this was the night I'll never forget again.
it was raining very heavily today. I don't think our parents can get back by 10 p.m.
" hey sis...what do you want to eat," says my little brother
"umm...anything.I am fine..don't have that much of an appetite" I say
okay so I'll order some takeouts and will leave for you as well..and don't forget to take medicines as well"
" yeah I remember that don't worry about that," I told him
he gives me such a concerned look. I can't help that but since my depression and anxiety hit me I have to take meds so that I can fight my illness and mental state.
(sudden knock on the door)
I got over to open the door and saw my dad standing full drenched. he came in and gave me plastic bags. I put them on the table and gave him a towel. he washed up and wore new clothes. As I saw in the window the rain stopped. He came from the washroom and saw me looking at the window.
" you know dear I have never taken you anywhere, did I?"
he looked at me hopefully.
" Why don't we hang out, your brother is busy with his studies, we'll be back real early," dad said
"I am okay with this, but where are we going?"
" well...we will go shopping and we'll eat out and have some father-daughter time maybe"
I agreed with him and took some of my stuff and got ready to go, we were at the market seeing some stuff like clothes and all..he didn't buy anything for him..everything was for me. I thought this was weird. while I tried to show him perfumes and other stuff while he denied looking at them. it seems concerning to me.
I buy his favourite perfume anyway, and we were at the restaurant ...where he asked for all the platter only for me. I ate till my stomach was about to explode, we took some pictures together, I was happy after so long, that I am fulfilling my wishes.
we were walking together when I saw my brother's call, I told my dad " I guess he is concerned about me that's why he is calling" he told me not to let him wait and call back immediately. I called him " hey sis.. I didn't see you in your room? where are you exactly," he asked
" don't worry, I came with dad and I am okay, we were just shopping and we ate at some restaurant, I'll be back in a while" I gave a smile through the phone call
I told dad that I have to go home early, and we walked till we got home.
I opened the door and saw my brother standing in front of me. I was so tired to argue with him so I immediately go to wash up. after that, I tried to sleep but unknowingly my eyes were teary. droplets were all over the pillow and I started to sob in little
my brother came to me and sat beside me.
" so....you didn't take your hallucination medicine right?"
" yeah, I guess. but I was happy walking beside him feeling all secure...like dependable on someone since ages"
" you should go to sleep " he put a blanket on me and left.
I thought he also lost hope in me. Since it's been ages since I last saw our parents telling us we'll be back by 10 pm.
