'Take your time. Take your time, Cassie.' Her loud thoughts clouded her head as her hands trembled over the keyboard. Anxiety rippling through her body, the commitment of actually writing and finishing her book stabbing at her. Cassie Love, a twenty-one year old college student with a writing major, wanted to publish a book. Ever since she was little, writing fantasies was all she had. She fell in love with writing, especially thrillers and romance. Always finding ways to mix the two into her writing. Cassie lives in New York with her boyfriend of 5 years, Josh Morgan. They had met during the second year of high school back in their hometown of Simi Valley, about 20 miles away from Los Angeles in California. After high school they both made an arrangement to both move out and live in New York, both living out their dreams and they have been. Josh wanted to be an actor, doing things like musical theater and plays all throughout his school years. But even if both of the two parties were similar in some ways both were drastically different. Josh was OUT there, he was a social butterfly, always hanging out with his friends and was constantly out of the house. Cassie on the other hand was the complete opposite, even if she had the chance to go to a party she never had the courage to go. She never liked being in crowded places or hanging out with people. It always made her uncomfortable, but going out was ALWAYS better than staying at home with her parents. The constant tension in the house was unbearable which always made Cassie uncomfortable to the point of never being home.
Cassie always went to the woods. That was her safe place, no matter what time of day or what time of the year she always went to the woods. That's where Josh and Cassie met. When Cassie was out late at night trying to get away from the house she stumbled upon a party. The fire lit so brightly in the middle of the dim trees. As she made her way towards the group of people she was greeted by a smile. A tall, curly haired guy approaches Cassie and asks her where she's from. As Cassie soon learned his name was Josh and he happened to go to her same school. They lived very different lives. But because they lived such different lives, they were both drawn to each other. Even if they were attracted to each other there were still differences. They were still in two different worlds.
From then on they never left each other's side. Cassie asked Josh to be her boyfriend on December 19th, and even five years later they celebrated it with each other.
Now, as they both are living their lives together, they continue to live in those different worlds. Cassie living a quiet life, writing and working; while Josh lives for the parties and attention that college brings.
