Roxie pov:

"Dave do you really think the kids could be here on this island? What if.." My voice trailed off as tears burned the back of my eyes.

"Everything will be fine Rox let's just keep going ok?" He nudged me with his shoulder cheerfully.

I had a feeling he was right but I had to be cautious.

"But we've been searching for so long Isla Sorna is absolutely huge b-but still!" A tear rolled down my cheek and I whipped it away.

"Hey hey it's alright to be afraid Roxie I am too, but we have to be brave for our kids."

I felt blush rise up my face. "Y-yeah we need to be brave for our kids."

I followed Dave to a small cave where we sat down. We hadn't slept in days. Night and day always searching for the kids.

"Don't tell any of the kids I said this but I really miss them." I whisper leaning against Dave. "Me too Rox me too.." His face softened as I looked up at him.

"I'll take first watch you try and get some sleep." He told me. "But I-" "No buts just get some sleep ok?" "F-fine." I didn't have the energy to argue with him tonight.

I watched him walk towards the entrance and laid down on the cold rocky ground. The sun was setting as I fell asleep.

I woke up early that morning and didn't see Dave. "Dave?" I whispered groggily. "Dave?" I called again.

I saw a corpse outside and I felt tears start rolling down my cheeks as I walked outside. "D-Dave..?" I whimpered.

"Im right here what's wrong?" I turned around to see Dave standing in-front of me. The corpse wasn't his.

"You scared me so bad!" I sobbed as he pulled me into a hug. "I'm sorry I was just making sure there wasn't any dinosaurs nearby."

"Y-you have to wake me up before you do stupid stuff like that! What I lost you like I lost the kids!" I yelled at him through tears.

"What do you mean like you lost the kids? That wasn't your fault!" He exclaimed looking me in the eyes. I looked away from him

"It is tho if I hadn't insisted we left that morning then they'd still be here.."

I whisper calming down a bit.

"Roxie that was your fault! I agreed to go with you remember?"

He had a point but I didn't want to believe him, I knew it was my fault.
