Chapter: 11

Yasmina pov:

I was scared not that I would admit it to anyone who wasn't Sammy.

I sucked in a deep breath and stood up unevenly.

I wasn't putting a lot pressure on my injured leg making it hard to walk or hobble as others would call it.

I didn't get any closer to the adults, I was very nervous considering they had abandoned us before what if they abandoned us again?

Roxie took a step towards me and I took a step back nearly falling because I had forgotten the couch was behind me.

I steady myself before walking to the other side of the room.

I wasn't prepared to talk to them or anyone who wasn't Sammy, or the rest of the group.

I lean against the glass window.

If I was being honest I didn't feel the greatest.

My leg was aching, and I felt like I was going to hurl.

"Are you alright?" Sammy whispered to me.

"Im fine." I reply dryly.

Sammy studied me with worried brown eyes.

"How about we go to bed it's getting late.." She suggested bringing me into a gentle hug.

"Yeah I guess." I shrugged, I didn't have the strength to argue with Sammy.

"Night y'all we are gonna head to bed."

"Oh alright night you two!" Brooklyn called as we started walking away.

We walk down the corridors, with every step my body ached.

I was so tired.

I yawn quietly as we head into the room.

The bed dipped as I flopped down.

Sammy laughed, laying down on her side besides me.

She grabs me gently bringing me closer, her arms gently rapped around my waist.

I nuzzle her gently, I felt safe when Sammy held me, she made me happier than anyone could ever.

I look at her for a few moments before pressing my face into her chest, drifting into a dreamless sleep.

✨Time skip to 8AM✨

Sammy POV:

I wake up to Yasmina's absence.

The bathroom light was on and the sink was running.

I get up knocking on the door.

"Yaz are you alright babe?"

"I'm fine I just don't feel the greatest..." She muttered so quietly I almost didn't hear her.

The water turned off and she opened the door.

I open my arms offering her a hug.

She yawned before leaning into my embrace.

I rap my arms around her delicate frame.

I raise one of my arms slowly so I didn't frighten her and touch her forehead.

She was burning up.

"Yaz I think your sick maybe you should go back to sleep, I'll let the others know you feel sick. They'll understand."

"No I'm fine Sammy." She pushed my hand away and put her face in the crook of my neck.

She pulled away after a little bit gazing at me with those dark brown eyes.

"Sam?"

"Yes?"

Her gaze shifted away from mine.

"Could you get me some Ibuprofen? I've got a headache." She muttered a light tint of pink spread across her face.

"Yeah of course I'll be right back." I give her a gentle kiss on the forehead before leaving the room in search for the medication.

I walk into the kitchen, checking the cupboards where the Ibuprofen did happen to be.

I grab the bottle whipping around as I heard footsteps.

"Easy texas I was just going to grab some water."

Thank god it was just Roxie.

"What are you doing anyways?" She waved her hand towards the bottle.

"Oh Yaz has a headache." I shrug walking past her.

Roxie gave a small nod before returning to what she was doing.

I walk back down the corridors to our dorm.

When I got inside Yaz was sitting on the edge of the bed her sleeves rolled up and she was staring at her arms.

I must've startled her because she jumped up with a small wince.

"You nearly gave me a heart attack!" She exclaimed rolling her sleeves down and crossing her arms.

"Sorry Yaz i got the Ibuprofen."

"Thanks.." She mumbled slightly embarrassed.

I hand her one of the tablets before putting the bottle up somewhere only I could reach considering Yaz was smaller than me.

She tilted her head slightly, she looked purely confused.

"I'm just gonna keep them up there in case you get any.. ideas per say."

Yaz flinched at the words.

"Sorry Yaz but I don't want to risk losing you."

I stated bringing her into a hug.

"It's fine Sam." She mutters swallowing the tablet.

"I love you." She stated randomly.

"Love you too." I mutter leaning forward to give her a kiss on the forehead when suddenly there was a loud bang...
