Through the worst (Su Hyeok x OC)

Chapter 2

"Come on. Come this way," Su-hyeok said pulling me over to a glass door. Just as we went to open it, a zombie ran at it from the inside.

"Fuck! Not here," I told him. He pulled me away from the door and we ran towards the front entrance of the school.

   I gasped in shock at the scene in front of us. All around us were students, running, screaming, and attacking each other.

   "Stay away. Stay away, son of a bitch," I heard someone yell. I looked over and saw the grounds keeper surrounded by zombies.

   He was stabbing at them with his trimmers, while on top of a ladder. The ladder shook violently with each swing of the tool.

   "Shit!" he yelled as the ladder tipped and he fell into the crowd of zombies. He quickly sat up as a zombie raced towards his body.

   "You should've stayed away, fucker," he growled while stabbing it through the chest. Another zombie quickly jumped on him, biting into his flesh.

   "We need to get somewhere safe," I told Su-hyeok with a shaking voice.

   "Where?" He asked, searching for a safe path. I looked around frantically, but stopped when my gaze landed back on the ladder.

   "Over here. We can move the ladder to the wall and climb into a classroom. Look, that's our class right there," I said pointing to a window.

   He gazed over to the window then back at me with a nod. I pulled him over to the ladder dodging our former classmates.

   "Grab that end. I'll grab this side," he instructed. We quickly lifted the ladder and moved it over to our class window.

   As we sat it upright, I heard snarling getting closer to us. I turned and saw a zombie running directly at us.

   "Su-hyeok, hurry and go up!" I ordered holding the ladder steady for him.

   "No, you go first," he told me glancing at the zombie in worry.

   "The ladders not tall enough for me to reach the window. You'll have to pull me up. Stop arguing and go!" I yelled.

   "Shit," he muttered, before climbing the ladder as fast as he could. I peered back to see the zombie was getting closer. Even worse than that, there were more heading our way.

   I looked back up to see Su-hyeok being pulled through the window by multiple hands. He quickly leaned back at the window and yelled, "Jae-din, hurry!"

   With one last glance behind me, I started running up the ladder. He, Wu-jin, and Dae-su grabbed me, pulling me in just as the zombies reached the ladder. I heard it hit the ground with a bang as I was pulled in completely.

   "Are you okay?" Su-hyeok urgently questioned while holding my face. I nodded and allowed him to pull me into his chest as we breathed heavily.

   I pulled away after a few seconds remembering  that there were others in the room. I looked around and saw all our friends were there.

   On-jo and I-sak were sitting near the door, both of which Gyeong-su and Joon-yeong were holding shut. Chin-hwa was standing next to Nam-ra. Na-yeon, Ji-min, and Hyo Ryeong we're huddled in the corner. Cheong-san, Wu-jin, and Dae-su were next to us by the window.

   "Jae-din!" On-jo called as she and I-sak raced towards me. They both engulfed me in a tight hug that I returned just as tightly. I'm so glad they're okay, I don't think I could handle them becoming zombies.
