"Great news! Wei WuXian has died!"

"Wei WuXian? The wanderer?"

"Finally! The YiLing Patriarch has finally died after a long time!"

"Are you sure his soul is gone forever? What if things happen like last time?"

"He has already died once! How would he come back to life again?"

The inn was bustling with multiple crows of people, ranging from wanderers to well known cultivators. The news spread fast like a fire, and the gossiping passed on rapidly.

A handsome male in the corner of the inn sat there, silent as always, but his face was already burning up furiously. The man in the cloud robes, and a sword in one of his hand was the well known HanGuang-Jun. Lan WangJi.

Known for 'befriending' the YiLing Patriarch.

His grip on his famous sword, BiChen, tightened, as the passive voices rang around him, nearly drowning him in rumours. Lan WangJi's eye focus went onto the wine bottle in front of him. Maybe... just maybe...

"Wei Ying's body was found, but there was no wound on him, could it be that he had a disease?"

"Not Wei Ying." A voice with a flat tone travelled over to the gossiper's ears, as they froze up, realising it was the one and only Lan WangJi.

WangJi grabbed the wine in front of him with a deadpan face, bringing it to his lips and gulped some of the wine down. Some of the wine trickled down his neck, missing his mouth.

"YiLing Patriarch." He muttered, slurring his words. "You can't call him Wei Ying." Although the words were simple, it made the huge group of people surprised. Some of them had recognised 'Your Excellency', from the Gusu Lan Sect. Weren't they not allowed to drink wine?

"He did nothing wrong." He surprisingly spoke more, then the words were followed with the sound of gulping of the wine.

"We never said anything bad about YiLing Patriarch... Your Excellency."
