first chapter! yay! its kinda a short chapter compared to other stories but yk, the chapters will probably get bigger as the story progresses.
this chapter is more of an intro to Gael's life. enjoy :P
GAEL'S POV:
Sunday 1:30 am
to others im considered an extremely lucky person. from their eyes, everything works out for me. but their eyes only see what they want to see. for instance, they see that so many girls find me attractive. what they don't see is that IM FRIKIN' GAY!
my apartment is on the top story of the building. number 113, on floor 9. it's a nice apartment. kind of expensive as well. the contents are the same as any house though, a bit of cheap furniture, rugs, a small dining table. the only unique thing about our house is that one of the windows is basically the size of the entire wall. I sit perched on a cousin right next to it.
from here it feels like I have the greatest view of New York City. it also happens to be the place where I spend most of my time. hours upon hours, of just staring aimlessly into the ocean of city lights and buildings.
I feel like I can just spectate the world from here, and not have to be in any way involved in it whatsoever. I like being alone. you don't have to deal with anyone else's crappy opinions of you, or what society says is right and wrong. when you don't necessarily feel anything, completely numb to the bone of emotion.
in the moments that you are alone, you can just be you.
"DING"
the sound of my phone announcing that I have a new message wakes me from my dreamy daze and I snap back into reality, only to realise that it's from my friend Beatrice asking me about our overdue assignment.
"again? Really Beatrice? URGH!"
I don't respond. She can just ask someone else. Besides, I don't really feel like social media today. Or social anything.
after about 2 minutes of trying to zone out, I finally give up and stare at my reflection in the glass right in the bright, blue eyes as I slick back my thick blonde hair with my sweaty hands.
I press my hands against the window and take in one last view of the abyss below me, leaving my sticky handprints on the glass.
Finally, I drag my feet towards my bed and my eyes just glue shut the moment I close them.
Sunday 11am
"Dude? Dude. Hello? Anyone in there?"
My eyes burst open in surprise. A loud voice shouts in my ear while a hand is waving vigorously about an inch away from my face.
"What the fuc-!"
Suddenly i sit up without thinking and a massive hand swipes me across the face.
"OUCH"
I yell, a lot louder than intended. Rubbing my sore nose I look around the room to see who is in here with me. Are you kidding me? There is one of my homies on each side of my bed. Jacob, with his long mattered dreadlocks covering his face like a curtain, which i personally think is just disgusting and Mason, with his concerningly pale skin that reminds me of casper the friendly ghost.
"Sorry bro, didn't mean to scare you." Mason says to me with obvious pity for me in his face from waking me up.
"Well... kinda" I look back over my shoulder towards Jacob who is smirking with pure joy on his face.
"Did you guys just come here to scare me, or is there something important you wanna share with me?" I ask hoping that the answer is as short as possible so that they can just leave me alone so i can go back to sleep.
"He did" Mason replies, basically screaming at me. As if my eardrums weren't permanently damaged already, "the rest of us came to share the news"
"What do you mean the rest of us?" I ask with complete horror pulsing through my veins. What does he mean the rest of us!? Suddenly a massive banging noise floods into my ears, along with the words "DADDY YESS!"
Still smirking, Jacob replies,
"Well the other homies, of course"
thats the first chapter down. well done me. bear in mind that i did write this at 1 am so there might be a couple of spelling mistakes here and there.
the is obviously going to be more chapters of this story cause i kinda tried to leave it on a cliff-hanger.
let me know if you guys think I should do Danials POV in the future . it sounds like it would be something fun to do with this story.
REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE LOVED and have a good day/night and keep healthy.
