Once again Kai had gotten into a fight(ᴀɴᴅ sʜᴇ ᴡᴏɴ). And once again she finds herself limping through the alleyways of the Undercity. She knew she couldn't go to Sevika as she left a yesterday. "Try to stay out of trouble" was Sevika's last words to Kai before she left for her job yesterday. Clearly she didn't listen.
Kai had managed to drag herself into an alleyway and slid down a wall. Her ankle was sprained,her knuckle was bruised and she had a forming black eye.She leaned her head back and closed her eyes. A killer headache was just another thing to add onto her list if problems. How she was gonna get to Sevika's apartment was the other. How would she even get in? You can't scale a wall with a sprained ankle. She froze when she heard voices. It sounded like a man and a child. Out of instinct, she grabbed the knife from her pocket. The two began to walk past the alley, until the child stopped because they noticed her. Which made the man back track and look into the alley. Kai took in their features. The child was a short, blue haired girl. Along with a tall,solid, man with messy brown hair and a beard. Kai jumped up when they noticed her.This was a terrible idea as she almost fell due to her ankle. "Woah there take it easy" The man said in a soft voice as he began to get closer. As the man got closer Kai pulled out the knife(ɪᴛs ᴀ ᴅᴏᴡɴᴡᴀʀᴅ ᴍᴏᴛɪᴏɴ/ᴛʜᴇ ʙʟᴀᴅᴇ ɪs ᴘᴏɪɴᴛɪɴɢ ᴅᴏᴡɴ). The blue haired girl stood still while the man just stared with a soft expression. "It's okay,I'm not gonna hurt you" The man said softly. "And why should I trust you" Kai said shakily holding the knife. She was tired as hell but she didn't know this man and wasn't keen on dying.
"I can't give you reason but I promise I won't hurt you and I can help you with those injuries" The man and the girl gave Kai a warm smile. She looked between the two and put her knife away. "Im Vander and this is Powder" he said motioning to the blue haired girl. The two kids exchanged wave and a smile before Kai's ankle gave way and she fell to her knees. "Oh boy,let's get you patched up shall we". Vander bent down and let Kai climb on his back. Once she was steadily on his back they began to walk. " What's your name little one" Kai stayed silent. "I get it if you don't want to tell me"

Kai had fallen asleep but woke up when somebody tapped her hand. She slowly opened her eyes to see Powder trying to wake her up. "We're here" she said with a smile. Kai lifted her head up to see a bar with a sign that said The Last Drop. It was empty and pretty quiet apart from the talking that came from downstairs. Vander set her down on the counter and went to get the first-aid.Powder then sat in a chair right beside Kai. "Hi" she said with a vibrant smile. "Hey". Powder jumped onto the counter and sat next to her. " Sooo how old are you?" "Im 7" "You're really tall for someone who's my age" Powder said while looking Kai up and down. "I'm not tall, you're just short"Kai said with a slight laugh. Powder looked at her with a fake offended look,a hand dramatically placed over her heart. "How mean,I'm not that short""Sure you're not blueberry" "If you're gonna call me blueberry then I'm gonna call you cherry".
The girls were messing around with each other and mainly just talking. Vander came back with a first aid kit and saw the two bonding. "It looks the two of you are getting along well" Vander said. "Yea,she's really nice" Powder said wrapping her arms around Kai's arm. Then she gasped. "Can she stay with us?!" Powder asked excitedly. Kai was suprised to say the least. This girl that she met about half an hour ago wanted her to stay. "For tonight she has to because her ankle is sprained" Vander said tending to Kai's ankle. "But her staying here full time? That's all up to her" "Kai" "Hmm?" "My name is Kai" she said when Vander shifted his attention to her.Vander gave her a smile and continued to patch her up. Kai felt a weight on her shoulder,she turned her head and saw that Powder was now laying on her shoulder.
