"Pssst nurse!" I heard a man shouting and I hissed my teeth. Me honestly can't stand them, once them see you in your uniform them take set pon you. Can bet he's going to say he's feeling pain and would love if l can take care of him. Like what kind of dumb pickup line is that?

"Wake up this morning with pain in a me balls enuh, come nurse it nuh"

Disgusting.

I looked at him and cut me eye. Look like dog vomit. Thank god it's Friday because if me have fi hear that one more time this week me tear off me uniform and walk naked.

Weh Gavin deh man? Look from when him say him deh papine a come. 

And this short wrong turn looking loader man nuh stop try put me in Hagley park taxi.

My phone started ringing and my heart fluttered when I saw the caller's ID. I walked to a corner before I answering.

"Where are you?" Ackeem asked sounding breathless.

Thinking about him made me smile. We've been dating for almost two weeks now and compared to my previous relationships this way better.

A nuh like say me did in a nuff still. The first real relationship I had was with Tony, the others didn't even pass 6 months.

So them don't even count.

"Half way tree"

"What you doing this weekend?"

"Just studying. Why?" I asked when a black car pulled up to my feet. I stepped back. Then him couldn't go somewhere else go stop. Him have fi stop directly at my foot.

"Okay" I started to grin like an idiot.

"Chin a me! come fast" Gavin pushed his head out the window and signal me to get in the car. I quickly got off the phone with Ackeem and jumped in.

"Where you get this from?" Is the first thing I asked when I sat down.

"Friend car. Yah lawyer? Weh yah question me fah" he laughed and looked over at me before speeding off.

"Yo fava shit bout. How comes you don't have on your uniform?" I asked.

"Wah? Which uniform?"

This idiot.

"Nuh must the security uniform Gavin. Which other uniform?" I rolled my eyes and leaned my head against the headrest.

"Oh" he laughed "change before me come fi you"

Wonder if he's embarrassed about it? Nothing is wrong with being a security guard. Maybe its because he didn't get into the police force like he always wanted.

From Gavin little a police him want be but him never get through. My heart broke for him when I found out. But security guard don't far from police, them kinda similar in a sense.

It just weird that I've only seen him in his uniform two or three times and a bout a year him a work there for.

I really need to stop overthinking.

"You hardly deh home anymore. You move in with Tallia?" I asked

Tallia is Gavin's girlfriend. They've been together for 3 or 4 years...listen me nah keep up with the people them relationship but a long time them deh.
