Let's just say, I was born shrewd but I didn't find out about it until I read my father's medical textbooks.

It was filled with gruesome pictures of slit opened human anatomy and explanatory sentences regarding the methods or the process.

From a pretty face with average scores when I was in Elementary, I bloomed gradually in terms of academics. It shook my parents how fast I learned things that it amazed him to the point that he would lecture me his books.

I understood how there are no born natural geniuses just people who are well at understanding and analyzing things. I mean, If I don't study, I don't think I would ever pass any of my test well.

Studying is basically like planting. We think it's exhausting, but if only you would look on the brighter side, you'd learn to appreciate the fruits it'll bear for you after all the efforts you've poured onto it.

I was so into learning a lot of things that I forgot to learn how to love. I never had any first date, first kiss nor a first dance at prom because I was busy studying for finals.

Even though bring home the 1st title and gold medals made my parents so proud, I never really felt accomplished.

What is it like to lose? I wondered. Is everybody just letting me win because I'm exerting more than they usually do? I don't even know what fun is, all that matters to me are the books that makes me feel happy and occupied.

I'm hopeless...
