it is no secret that rhea royce and daemon targaryen hate each other. daemon does nothing but sully rhea's name and she is not one to take that lightly. however even through all that hate there are times that the two could not stay away from each other, hatred filled lustful urges that would last for merely hours before they wanted to gut each other again.
vhaesyra targaryen is what came forth out of that lust, the only child to daemon and rhea and she will undoubtedly stay that way. a child born of lust and hate, it is safe to say her childhood wasn't what the stories would tell you. her mother although hateful to her father raised her with kindness and for her to be strong. her father however, well she almost never saw him for the beginning of her life. she remembers the first time she had ever seen him.
it was vhaesyra targaryen's fifth name day and daemon had decided to visit, meeting each other in the hallways of runestone he'd brushed her off, i don't have time for children he said. it hurt her deeply, she had cried all alone that day and caused her mother a great pain when she couldn't find her little vhaesyra targaryen in her bed. but still after her father's hurtful words tried to care for him. she still wanted his love.
as vhaesyra targaryen grew up it had appeared that, just like her father, vhaesyra had grown familiar with the dramatics, she had tried everything to get her father's attention. step out of like, train in combat, refuse every and any marriage proposal. none of it worked however.
but although daemon had never given vhaesyra targaryen the time of day the same wasn't said for her uncle, the king viserys targaryen. he was delighted his brother had a child even if it was a girl, he treated her as his own but not even the love of a king could fill the daemon shaped hole in her heart. what the king also did is change vhaesyra's last name for the years before she had met her father she was a royce however viserys was convinced that if rhea and daemon could have one child they'd have another so he had named vhaesyra a targaryen, daemon's heir if he were to sit the iron throne.
