"You are dismissed." "Glory to the shining immortal sun." He leaves. I look up at the sun. father, are you proud of me? The door opens. It's Jeanette.
"Big sister! Can I go with you?"
"You're not even dressed correctly yet Jeanette."
"The maids will help me."
"Mary, Alice, Lily. Help Princess Jeanette." they bow.
"Everlasting glory to our imperial sun." They lead Jeanette out the door.
Jeanette POV
When we get to my room, the maid Lily glares at me.
"I'll be in your care." the maids look at each other. A brush, hair pieces, and a dress are laid out in front of me. What is with this dress color? It doesn't go!!
"I'll brush your hair princess." I scowl as the maid pulls on my hair. Why is that lowly daughter of a dancer having another audience with a prince? Everybody is stupid to want someone of low blood to be an Empress. The corset is pulled tight, and a knee presses into my back. How dare they treat me this way? My eyes are on the tiara. Soon, that will be the crown. I feel a sharp pain in the back of my head. I look at the floor. Some of my hair was yanked out!
