The palace walls are quiet. The only people in the palace awake are Diligent, Mirth, and Anguish. Everyone else gets their beauty sleep as needed for a lord/ruler. Anguish is always having some sort of difficulty sleeping.
Mirth looks at the time to see it is 3:32 AM. None of our lovely lords are meant to be out of their rooms past 2 AM. There are special reason's why they are not meant to be out of their rooms. Yet has mirth followed this rule set by the Ambassador? No, he hasn't. He alongside anguish usually breaks it to visit each other.
Mirth gets a text from Anguish and the text says "Hey... Can you come to my room? I can't sleep" Mirth didn't reply to his text but he got up and slid his slippers on. Mirth usually only sleeps in boxers but he couldn't find his robe so he left his room and into the halls to walk to Anguishes' bedroom.
Mirth softly knocks on Anguish's bedroom door. You hear a faint "come in" from inside the bedroom. Mirth quietly opens the door, entering and then lightly shutting it. He shuffles over to bed sitting on the edge starting rubbing Anguish's shoulder. Mirth says "Can't sleep can you?" Anguish shakes his head no. Mirth shuffles into Anguish's bed, seemingly laying with him. "Anguish you need to learn how to sleep on your own..." Mirth says while cuddling with Anguish, and rubbing the back of his head.
Anguish gets comfy while cuddling mirth, he lays his head on his chest and slowly dozes off on him. Mirth quietly sings to anguish. They both later fell asleep and had a good night's rest.
