We got on some small boats that got us to the actual Hogwarts entrance. The castle was huge, larger than the one back in Beaux. While riding the boat, I saw a rather familiar carriage flying towards the grounds of my new home but after a few minutes I shrugged it off and admired the view of the giant castle.

"Aria Potte-" I turned around to face the giant that gave Harry his acceptance letter 4 years ago. I smiled at the sight of him and ran up to hug him. I could've sworn I saw a few tears roll down his eyes while he hugged me back. "Hagrid!" I cheered. He was the nicest men I ever met. Though people could get easily intimidated by his looks.

Once we entered the castle, a woman whom Harry mentioned her name was Mrs. McGonagall, pulled me to the side and said, "Ah, Ms. Potter, so nice to finally meet. Come darling, you have to get sorted to your house." I nodded and followed her to the entrance of the Great Hall.

I was with a bunch of first year students and a few older students who I imagined just transferred schools like me.

"This is kind of nerve-racking, isnt' it? I looked to my side to see a blonde girl staring at me.

"Yeah, it is." I replied with a small chuckle.

"What house do you want to be put on?" she said to continue the conversation.

"Oh, anything but Slytherin!" I exclaimed too loudly. I got some weird glances but I couldn't care less.

"What do you mean? Slytherin is probably the most determined house, even though it is stereotypically bad, doesn't mean it's true."

She ranted all about how Slytherin was a good house and I just agreed to make her stop talking about it.

"Well, I don't think my brother would be too happy about it if I'm honest." I replied. Then I changed the topic before it became more of a fight than a conversation.

"My name is Aria, Aria Potter."

The blonde girl looked shocked, like she had just seen a ghost. "No way! Another Potter! It must be my lucky day." She said brightly.

I laughed and asked her what her name was which she replied, "My name is Mel Woods." I can tell I was in for a long friendship with this girl.

After a few minutes, we finally entered the Great Hall. It was beautiful, long tables filled with students from different houses, candles floating in the middle of the room with a cloudy sky, and some flags falling from the roof representing each house.

I was one of the last ones to get sorted since I was one of the oldest. I was so happy Mel and I were in the same year. I would get to see her more.

Then, it was my turn to get sorted.

"Aria Potter." Said Mrs. McGonagall. Some people gasped, some people's eyes diverted to my direction. I was so nervous

I got a glimpse of my brother, he gave me a reassuring smile, and I closed my eyes after I sat on the chair.

"Ah, another Potter I see, difficult, very difficult." He continued. "You could be, Gryffindor, where dwell the brave at heart!."

I opened my eyes too look at my brother, he was staring intensely, not smiling anymore. "Please not Slytherin, please not Slytherin." I whispered to the hat.

"Not Slytherin, eh?...Are you sure? You could be great, you know, it's all here in your head, and Slytherin will help you on the way to greatness, no doubt about that no?"

I sighed, "I guess not."

"Well then, better be...SLYTHERIN!"

I heard a roar of claps and cheers coming from the Slytherin table, but I just looked at Harry. He nodded and mouthed, "I don't care." that made me smile and it was enough for me to move towards the Slytherin table.

I was so excited to see Mel got sorted into Slytherin as well. Such good luck.

She and I sat together on the table. And we introduced each other to the people next to us.

To my side sat Theodore Nott and to Mel's side sat Pansy Parkinson. In front of us sat Blaise Zabini and Draco Malfoy.

"Good evening students!" Dumbledore finally spoke. "This year, Hogwarts will play host to a legendary event: the Triwizard Tournament. During which time a single student gets to represent his or her school in a series of magical contests. Eternal glory awaits the student who wins the tournament."

"Now, please join me in welcoming the lovely ladies of the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, and the headmistress, Madame Maxine!" The large door opened, and a bunch of students wearing my old uniform entered. I squealed on my seat, filled with excitement with the thought of seeing my friends again.

They all walked and danced coordinately. I took a glimpse and saw Fleur, Gwen's sister. Fleur and I saw each other almost all the time, we became sort of friends, since I stayed the whole summer with them. She was like a big sister.  She smiled at me and I returned the smile. Since my friends were not the required age to be here, I wasn't able to see them.

I know I said Hagrid was the tallest person I've ever met. But standing behind them, was the tallest person I really had seen. Madame Maxine could be at least 5 feet taller than Hagrid, and that meant a lot.

"Blimey, that's one big woman!" said the guy next to me. I nodded but didn't take my eyes off of the show in front of us.

After loud claps, I even saw my brother stand up excitedly. How embarrassing. Dumbledore started speaking again.

"And now, our friends from the North, please treat the proud sounds of Durmstrang and the high master, Igor Karkaroff."

A group of men entered the Great Hall with some polls and started the show. After them walked the one and only, Viktor Krum: Ron and Harry's idol.

And then again, a loud cheer from the tables, especially the Slytherin one.

After presenting each house, a big buffet of food appeared in front of us. We started eating and started talking.

They were all very talkative, all except Malfoy. I sometimes saw him taking a few glances my direction but nothing more than that. I was curious in meeting him, getting to know him.

After dinner, we all walked to the common room together. Pansy, Mel and me got along very well. We found out we were dorm mates and couldn't have been happier.

"Let's hang out here for a bit." Suggested Blaise. We all agreed and sat on the couches. Blaise and I got along very well, he was very handsome if I had to admit.

We all got deep into conversation until it was late past curfew. We decided it was time to go since tomorrow was their first day back and my first day of school.

I met the grey eyes of Malfoy, he didn't say a word on the whole 2 hours we talked. He just listened to our conversation and stared. A lot. I smiled at him, without breaking eye contact.

We realized everyone was already gone by now, and it got really awkward to say the least.

"Good night," I finally spoke and starting walking towards the stairs.

"Good luck tomorrow." He replied.

He had finally said a word, and to me. I smiled to myself and went to bed. So did he.
