*JACE P.O.V.* 2 WEEKS LATER*
The logical side of me wanted to take this slow but in reality I could tell East & I wanted to dive head first in being together. After the scene we made at the park he knew word would travel fast about us and he hated it. I knew if he couldn't move me in with him he at least wanted me close. And my apartment was two hours away in the ghetto. The couple nights we did spend together I could see him thinking instead of watching the movie with me. Thinking of how he was going to incorporate me in his world without hurting or tainting me.

Kendra: So how does it feel being a kept woman ?
Jace: girl shut up!
Kendra: it's been hard keeping up with yo ass you been couped up with ya nigga.
Jace: I have not!
I say laughing into the phone.
Kendra: bitch you either leaving his spot, just pullin up to his spot, or out with him.
Jace: like you been doin with Deleon for years ?
Kendra: yea but I live with ma baby daddy that's different.
I guess to Kendra it seemed like I was with East a lot but I wasn't. Since our first night together I only spent one more night after that. East felt like it was too risky to go back and fourth from my place to his when no one was supposed to know where he lived. He tried to take me out on dates far where no one would know us.
He took me out to dinner by the ocean. Lunch at rooftop bar and brunch surrounded by luxury stores on random days. He tried hard to make time for me and his work.
I wasn't use to the princess treatment, I think he liked the idea of surprise gifts more than I did. He would leave gifts in my car, on my bathroom sink, or had the delivery sent right to my door.
Kendra: what did yo man give you this week & don't say nothing cause I know he sent you something!
Jace: Girl why are you worried about my gifts when Deleon gets you the latest bag EVERY season?
Kendra: Because when Christmas roles around I need a nice fat list for Santa.
I laugh.
Jace: You think he's love bombing me ?
Kendra: girl please, A real man loves seeing his woman dripped out. Lil Baby got Jayda walkin round with half a milli in jewelry on her. Quavo customized a whole Bentley for Saweetie. And we ain't gon talk about the amount of shit Durk got India.
Jace: I guess you right.. it feels good having a man spend money on you. Jason would bitch about buying me a single flower from the corner store.
Kendra: Only broke men complain about gifts being a woman's love language. What do you bring to the table head ass niggas.
We laugh.
Kendra: So I was ear hustling-
Jace: As usual!
Kendra: girl hush!
Jace: One of these days you gon get caught.
Kendra: yea yea yea bitch, anyways Deleon, East & Mikael got a meeting at Shade on Tuesday. Around 2:30.
Jace: A meeting at Shade? The nightclub?
Kendra: What other Shade Ho!? Let's go pop up on em.
Jace: I don't know, they do a pretty good job of tryna keep us out of that shit.
