'Twas the weekend before Christmas, and all through the house;
Every creature was panicking, but mainly Jericho because he had no clue what to get Sebastian. At the current time, it was a perfect day to go shopping. It was too late at that point that many people would be left at the mall, and Sebastian was asleep. Jericho knew he had 3 days, but he knew too well that it would take him a prolonged period of time to wrap the gifts and successfully hide them from Sebastian's keen sense of knowing when he's being involved in anything.
Jericho slipped a vegan leather jacket on and a black knitted hat. He went quietly out the door and started the car. He smiled when he heard the sound of Christmas music coming out of the radio. He backed out of the garage and began his quest to the Wickport Mall.
Meanwhile, at the Hooded household, things were not going as planned as well. Riley scowls at his amazon box, knowing that it's a model 10 stainless steel watch. He's having second thoughts about it because he's not sure if Sebastian knows how to read a clock or not.
"He can just use his phone..." he mutters, holding his head.
He hears footsteps coming down the wooden staircase, and turns to see Eden in a nightgown with a green and red pattern on it.
"What are you doing up so late?" She asks him.
"Having a crisis." Riley says quietly. Eden looks pitiful at him and sits down next to him on their couch.
"Nothing new. Do you want something from my chocolate stash?" Eden says, with surprising sympathy, which is not usual of Eden.
Riley nods solemnly and Eden gets up and goes to the pantry. "But, really, what is this about?"
Riley sighs before saying, "...Sebastian. I have zero clue what to get him. He's like, well, you know?"
Eden nods, and brings a plastic bag full of chocolates to them. "Yeah, I totally understand. Kind of." She pauses, "You should get him women's underwear." They both laugh but then cover their mouths, realizing that Koi is still asleep. In the silence, they both hear a car pulling out of a driveway, that driveway and car undeniably owned by the Malveaux brothers. (Mainly jericho)
"Do you think he's panicking about the same thing?" Riley asks, starting to put on his black jacket.
"If I've known Jericho for seven years, yes." Eden responds, "Go catch up with him!" She adds.
"I'm pretty sure he's scared of me." Riley says whilst reaching for the doorknob. Eden shrugs.
"Yeah, he is. This counts as a bonding moment, though! Now go! Dont think I don't have to wrap gifts as well." Eden pushes Riley out the door and locks it. Riley sighs and flaps his wings. He stretches them quickly and flaps again, this time he's set into flight. Lucky for him, it's windy, which means he can glide through the air.
Riley quickly catches sight of the car and begins to get ahead of the car so he can meet Jericho quickly. He dives straight toward the ground and clumsily lands on both feet right in the snow. Jericho's headlights and high beams are on as he pulls into an empty spot, and Riley walks to the car and waits for Jericho to get out.
When the door opens, Jericho climbs out, and glances at Riley for a second before realizing he's there.
"Hey. I think we're here for the same reason." Riley says nonchalantly.
"Uh-um, what?" Jericho nervously locks his car and stuffs his keys in his pocket before starting to walk away.
"Don't walk away from me, Jericho." Riley says, monotone and intimidating.
Jericho stops in his tracks. "Excuse me? Look, I just need to buy something for my brother." He turns and faces Riley. Jericho is almost as tall as Riley, but Riley still seems to stoop over him.
"I would be doing the same." Riley gives a soft smile in an attempt to calm Jericho, but fails as Jericho sees the smile as a small smirk, which to him means that Riley might be carrying a baseball bat with him just to smash Jericho's head in with. "Calm down kid, I'm not going to kill you." Riley says, desperate for Jericho not to pee his pants of fright.
Jericho sighs. "Ok. So, uh, what do you want with me?"
Riley laughs. "I want to go shopping with you so we can get Sebastian all the best gifts." Riley blushes slightly, turning fond by thinking of Sebastian. Little did he know that Sebastian is eating the fluff inside his pillow
"Oh. Alright." Jericho snorts and turns and proceeds to walk into the lit up mall. Riley looks confused for a moment before running after him.
