The Elementals' Secret

Cassie's POV

Beep beep beep beep

I groaned as I reached over to smack my alarm. "Shut up" I yelled at it. Slowly I slipped out of bed and into my bathroom.

After I got done taking a shower and brushing my dark brown hair that falls barely above my waist. I looked into the mirror to see my reflection as I was wearing medium colored boot cut blue jeans and a green holiday world T-shirt.

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Cassie Green Willows. I'm a shape shifter and I hold the element of earth. I live with three other Elementals that hold three other different elements. Water,fire, and air are not as cool as earth I must say. I know that's a heck of a story but I'm not lying that's the life I live. To be honest I wouldn't change it for the world.

I slipped my hair up in a pony tail as my bangs framed my face making my chocolate colored eyes pop.

If your wondering why I'm 17 and living with 3 shape shifters you should know what happened to my family. I had a mom, dad, and a brother. Sadly one night they were taken from me while I was sleeping and I've searched for years but could never find then. I was only 4 years old when it happened. I used to think they may still be alive but my hope isn't lasting much longer.

After the incident I stayed isolated from everyone. Then one day a beautiful woman known as the moon goddess ,Cynthia, came down on my 5th birthday to give me a gift. It was the gift of the earth element. After a few months I found out that three other people were bestowed their own elements.

Anyways that's basically my childhood story. I've grown up to be a teenager and hold my responsibility of my element. We have to keep it a secret though because if people out they would try to take our gifts away from us. Anyways back to present day....

As soon as I was dressed and sadly but surely up for the day I walked out of my room and down to Aqua's across the hall. Once I snuck in her room I peeked at her sleeping figure. She looked so peaceful.

Not anymore. I thought to myself

I took a couple steps back before running and jumping right on top of her. At first she startled awake trying to hit whoever disturbed her sleep but as soon as she realized it was me, she narrowed her eyes.

The last thing I saw was the deadly look in her blue, now almost black, eyes before I took off sprinting down the spiral stairs.

Aqua's Pov

So there I was, sleeping peacefully in my magnificent bed. What I didn't expect was who I thought to be my best friend, Cassie, jumped on me. At first I didn't know it was her so I was trying to hit whoever disturbed my precious sleep. Once I saw it was Cassie my sapphire eyes turned darker and I gave her I deadly glare that said -you better ran, cause you are so dead-.

She took off down the spiral stairs, which I have to admit is my favorite part of our house. Cassie built our house which means it was made of trees. The trees were in a tight circle. Cassie also put branches to cover the top. She also made a level below the main floor. We had 2 levels not including the lower ones, the upstairs had our four rooms and bathrooms that was designed for our elements. The main level consisted of the kitchen, living room, main bathroom that every room shares. The lower level had our garage, the game room, and an epic training room. We also had a huge back yard since we live in the middle of the woods. I thought I would have some fun with her.

I turned on the faucet in my own bathroom with my powers, you must be confused well let me explain. Full life story, so I was born on a cold winter night-naw just kidding I'll only tell you the important parts.

My name is Aqua Hope Rivers. I'm tall, about 5'7 and one quarter. Yes the one quarter matters okay? Okay. Sorry I had to. Anyways, I'm 17 and and can control water. I'm a shapeshifter too. Anything else important? Oh right I have a cat. So I had a beautiful mom, so I was told,a handsome dad, and an adorable cat who we got when my mom died. My mom died when I was born but when I was little my dad told me I looked just like her expect my eye and hair color. My mom had icy blue eyes while I had sapphire ones, she had light blonde hair while mine was pure white that faded into deep blue.

My mom and dad were werewolves and they were mates. Mates like soul mates in the human world, expect to werewolves it's much more intense. It's hard to live if your mate dies. My father was okay for about three and a half years. I know what your thinking, how could I possibly remember well I guess that comes with being a shape-shifter. I found I could shift into any animal I wanted when I was two. My dad thought I was special since the last shape-shifters was a long time ago. My dad thought me how to shift and helped me with hunting and taught me how to survive on my own cause he could feel himself growing weaker.

When I was three and a half, my dad took my cat and I to an orphanage cause he felt himself dying. Feles, my cat, and I stayed at the orphanage until my 5th birthday and I left and went to live in the woods. 3 other people received gifts that day. That's when I got my element power, water. Which includes control water, freezing water, boiling it, basically anything water related, I can also breath underwater and stay dry. Yeah, I know pretty cool.

I also have a necklace which made my powers stronger when I received it. At first I could only make a small water droplet but now my power is stronger. I received my necklace at the age of 10 when I saved a young child from drowning. My necklace had a sapphire chain with a water droplet incrusted with blue crystals. In the center there was a small piece of the original fire ball the Cynthia found.

Anyways back to the present...

So I took some of the water from the faucet and moved it to the bottom of the staircase and froze it. Waiting for Cassie to come along. When she ran down the last step and set a foot on the slippery ice her brown eyes grew wide. As she slipped across the now icy floor, she grabbed the stair's railing and swung around it until she came to a stop, busting her head off of it knocking her out cold.

I fall to the ground on the top of the stairs laughing my ass off while my best friend is laying on the ground at the bottom. After I finish laughing I unfroze the ice and put the water in the sink and walked down the stairs. I kicked Cassie with my foot.

"Are you okay?" I asked her. "Why aren't you moving? If your dead I call dibs on all your stuff. Um, Ash, Skye, I need you guys to come down here." Ashley, and Skye are the other two Elementals with similar stories to mine and Cassie's. Ashley's element is fire while Skye's is air.

"What did you do this time Aqua?" Ashley asked me coming from her room while Skye came out of hers. Do they have no faith in me? It's not always me. Okay this time it was but still.

"Why did I have to do something? It could've been Cass." I replied back. Ash and Skye were at the top the stairs looking down on me, but they couldn't see Cassie cause I was blocking her from their view. They both gave me a look that said, -really? It's always you-

Thanks for having faith in me guys. "So it was sorta Cassie's fault too. She put herself in this position. First of all she jumped on me while I was sleeping, no one, I mean no one, wakes me up even if I tell them to do it before hand. So I made ice at the bottom of the stairs and she slipped, which was pretty funny I may add, and in attempt to save herself she grabbed the railing and... Um... Knocked herself out." I whispered the last part but we had great hearing so they heard it. By now they were almost down the stairs and I had moved out of the way waiting for their reaction. Wait for it.
