OK so this is going to make me cry but I was thinking
What if the tirmedian finds Xanthus and The listener and Capture them put them in different rooms and torture both of them but in the listeners room there's a vampire working with the tirmedian to get revenge on Xanthus so they work out a deal with the vampire and the vampire bites the listener and while Xanthus is getting tortured he feels the bond break he tries to go to them but it's too late because he doesn't remember why he's going to that specific room and when they see each other they feel nothing and when they are turning into a vampire they still remember that their old memories but he doesn't he doesn't remember anything and when they say his name he says I don't know you so then their heart is broken they leave and they want to find a way to make him remember but they don't know how so they get help from Dontis and the elder they figure out a way to get him to remember They tried to like make him remember like telling The old stuff they used to do but that doesn't work so then they give him something so he remembers but he refuses because he doesn't know what's going on until he looks in their eyes the reason why the looking in their eyes didn't work before was because they were like a new vampire so obviously it didn't work before
