It was a cold September morning, fog surrounded the monestary. The ninja were all fast asleep in their cosy rooms, attempting to escape the cold by hiding under their sheets. Well, apart from one. The fire elemental "thrived" in the cold, he claimed that he could keep cool while using his powers so it was much easier to keep his stamina up, so it was mornings like these where the brunette rose in the early hours to get extra training in. None of his brothers quite understood this, why would he get up this early? It stayed cold most of the day so in reality there was no point in waking so early.
Cole adored it though, he'd sit on the steps leading to the courtyard with a cup of warm black coffee in his hands to keep him somewhat warm. He wasn't sure kai even knew he was there most of the time
But he certainly did now..
"cole? I- uhm what are you doing out here?" Kai was taken aback by his friends appearance, he went red out of what could only be assumed to be embarrassment. "I uh couldn't.. Sleep! Yeah I couldnt sleep and like I know you train in the mornings so I thought I'd come join but then you were so in the zone and I-" woah. Cole was... Flustered? And not with embarrassment this time ;) Cole had given up trying to explain himself, sighed and tilted his head to look at gsi feet, mainly to avoid kais confused stare." "so you decided to watch me train." Kai was clearly not picking up at the trail of breadcrumbs cole has so clumsily left for him "ok then" Kai seemed to just brush it off? Coles mind was racing while his heart was beating a million pumps a second. He gawked as kai just walked past his to go inside "I'm gonna clean myself up, see ya"
Oh. My. God. How is kai so clueless?!?!? I mean cole might as well of said he's in love with the man for gods sake! Cole was stood in shock trying to process how tf Kai just ignored what happened.
In reality Kai has scurried of to his room to shower, his mind going no slower than his teammates'. He tried to continue with the his morning routine but no matter what Cole kept on creeping into his mind, God did he have? Surely not. Did he have a crush on Cole?
