"You broke my heart, but I love you with all the broken pieces."
If you're lucky enough, the person you're in love with happens to be your best friend. You tell them your darkest secrets and they make your day by a simple smile.
The bad part of it, is when you put your heart out on the line and it ends up getting left out in the rain by the one person you trusted the most. Sadly, I made that mistake. I thought that by telling my best friend I fell in love with him, I would get a happily ever after. It didn't turn out that way.

"Luke! Where are you?!" I called out from downstairs.
"I'm in the same house, you don't have to yell!" He called back sitting on the couch.
"Well the movie is starting and you better not fall asleep this time." You warned.
"Then why do you pick these terrible corny romance movies?" He whined.
"They're not all corny!" I argued back. "Besides, you love this one." I said. I played one of my favorites, "A Walk to Remember."
Throughout the movie, I kept glancing at Luke. The way his blonde hair fell perfectly into place. The way his blue eyes always seemed to sparkle. And the worn out flannel that he never seems to get tired of. I don't remember when I fell in love with my best friend. It just sort of happened. I've always wanted to tell him, but losing our friendship would devastate me.
"Take a picture Sophia." He said smirking. Just him saying my name made me blush 50 shades of red.
"Don't flatter yourself Robert." I said back chuckling. He gave me a wink and continued watching the movie.
I couldn't do this anymore. It was now or never, and I can't keep my feelings inside anymore.
"Hey Luke?" I asked.
"Yeah?" He replied taking his eyes off the T.V. screen.
"We can tell each other anything right?" I asked.
