: Won't you weave your fate with his? :

His name: Shiruku

Meaning: Silk

You always had a bleeding heart, or at least, that's what other people told you. Doing your best to help others even when there would be negative outcomes for yourself. That was the type of person you portrayed and that's the type of person people use and abuse. It didn't bother you much, after all, every living thing had it's individual purpose. Let it be to rise above the masses and gain copious amounts of wealth or to die a meaningless and lonely death. As much as you seemed to care for others, all you saw it as was a means to an end. Your 'role' if you will. Truthfully, that personality you took on couldn't be further from reality. You knew that people were only going to use and break you, a fate easily avoidable, and yet you chose to walk that path. Simply because you saw it as your purpose.

That path led to where you are right now.
Consoling your friend, Kayara, in the middle of the woods while the sun was setting, without your phones, and a mess of a corpse a few feet from you. You pretended to care, that body used to be a friend of 5 years, yet on the inside you were dulled. You knew that you might die tonight, so why didn't you cry? Why didn't you panic? Your mindset was that whatever happened, happened, and there's nothing you could do to change that. Besides, whatever decorated the surrounding trees and grass with your friends' guts completely did it out of malice. No hungry animal or even person would try to make potential food into paint for their forest canvas. The only way you could even tell that was your friend was because of the emptied out backpack thrown to the side. She had always adored Disney characters and brought a backpack with a bunch of the characters on it.

"Y/n! Y/n Y/n Y/n, we're gonna die, we're gonna die, we're gonna die-" Kayara droned on, slurring her words together as she hiccuped and whimpered. You rubbed soothing circles on her back. The girl was usually loud and brash, so this behavior was a sight to behold.
Truely, you wanted to laugh, of course you were going to die at this rate. Besides, who was she to complain? This whole trip was her idea in the first place.

"Shh shh shh, its fine, we'll be fine, Kayara. We need to move though, what if whoever did this comes back? Then we'd really die." You cooed, attempting to pull her to her feet by her armpit. To which she squirmed and thrashed causing you to drop her.

"Y/n! Please please please! We're gonna die! Just like Kuta!" Kuta was the name of your scrambled eggs of a friend. The two girls hadn't dated per say but they fooled around often. This whole ordeal probably took a toll on Kayara on several levels, she even had discussed her plans to ask Kuta out with you. At the end of this camping trip she was going to ask her out. Now she'd never get the chance.

You sighed at the memory of playful discussions in assisting of her plans, knowing things like that will fail to happen again. Squatting down facing away from her, you grabbed her legs and pulled her into a piggyback ride, shakenly standing up. She attempted to get off, which you tightened your grasp.

"Hold on, unless you want to end up like her. We need to get a move on." You guessed one of the safest places was near the body, finding it highly unlikely the perpetrator would come back to their crime. But you knew you'd be sitting ducks, just waiting until they came across you. After gathering your thoughts, you set out in a random direction. You attempted to walk in one path, if you were lucky, you'd end up stumbling into a walking trail or even the road that cut through the woods.

You trudged forward, each step weighing down harder than the last, if you put Kayara down now you wouldn't be able to pick her back up again. She was already spent from a day of running around, hiking, and sobbing her eyes out. The girl was asleep against your back, rocking with your steps.
