Prologue

March 16th, 1990

It was a gloomy March day in Evianas home town, or villiage should I say, Brilfax Village. She woke up feeling grogy as she whiped her eyes to get rid of all the eye boogers that have formed over night as she slept calmly to the sound of light rain falling from the clouds. She had checked her night stand clock to see what time it was, it was only 7.46am, so since she still had a couple minutes before she had to get up out of bed, she decided to get her favourite book out, Afterlife By Paul Monette, she had only just got the book from her aunty as a gift a week ago, but she had not been able to put it down since.

A few minutes go by, so Eviana decides that its time for her to get up and get ready for school. She is a half-blood witch but her,her father and younger brother had no clue about it, considering her dad is a muggle, her mom had really fallen in love with her dad and was completely overjoyed when he had asked her to make him the happiest man in the world and to marry him. Her parents had nothing against it as she didnt come from a muggle hating family and was probabaly making a smart choice considering she was a ravenclaw at her times at hogwarts. A couple years after they got married, they decided that they really wanted 3 wonderful kids, two girls and one boy. They tried and tried but they always failed, until one sunny day, she wasnt feeling very well so they went to the doctors, and as it turned out, she was pregnanat with her first baby girl, who they had decided to call Aurélie. Three years go by and they have their second girl, known as Eviana, then a year later their youngest, Amaury. She had decided to keep the fact that she was a witch hidden from all of her family, until Aurélie got her hogwarts letter. She had told her husband that she will be sending her to a bording school not far from here, he didnt argue at all.

Eviana went to her closet to get her unifrom, its a grey knee length pinafore with a white strap that wrapped around both of the short sleeves. She had to also wear ankle lenght socks with frills at the top of the, concluding the uniform with some basic black school shoes. As she was walking downstairs to eat some breakfast and to pack her bag for school, she bumped into her one year younger brother, Amaury. He was crying. "Amaury oh gosh, whats the matter?" Then. She saw it. The smoke that was coming from Aurélie's room engulfed the whole upstairs. Eviana took her brother into her arm and ran to get her book. She couldnt leave it. She grabbed it and quickly ran downstairs with her brother in her arms trying not to fall to the ground. She started yelling for her parents. They had really confused looks on their faces. Till they saw the smoke. Her dad told them all to go outside as he ran upstairs into the smoke to wake up his eldest and get her out. Until he realised. The smoke was coming from her room. She had a fire place in there and must have forgotten to put it out before going to bed. He tried to open the door but it wouldnt budge. He ran downstairs and called the fire department as he proceeded to try and knock the door down. By the time they got here it was too late. The fire spread around the whole house and Aurélie was found dead at her window.
