Chapter 2

Hey guys! So this is the second chapter of marition. It starts a bit slow but towards the end it really starts o heat up and I know you'll enjoy it! Hope you enjoy this update. Get reading!

A smile creeps on the mans lips.

"Mike!" I exclaim and exhaust my fear from my body

"What's going on Birthday girl?" He ruffles my hair before sitting on a large rock, his tan skin practically glistening in the sun. Mike has always had a charming look to him. that's why all the girls in school are always jealous of me, the thing is I'm not really into Mike. Sure we have the same interests but I feel like I've known Mike for so long that I can't seem to see him as anything more than a friend. Just a friend.

"Don't ever scare me like that again." I reply back to him, although I know he won't listen, i mean this is Mike Fuentes I'm talking about, he never listens. You can try to do anything, any tactic of your choice, but if something's not in it for him he won't budge.

"Come on it's funny! You should have seen your face." He mocks my scream and widens his eyes.
"Do I really look like that?"
"Yes, yes you do now come on."

He grabs my hand and I follow him as he drags me to the shore. He frees my hand and bends down to grasp a rock. I do the same. He points to a booey In the distance, floating lightly over the water.

"First one to hits it gets ice cream from the loser!" He practically shouts. Mike can be such a child sometimes and yet still manages to have that bad boy image and charm girls fall for. Regardless of how foolish it sounds I play Mike's little game. It makes me happy to see Mike smiling and feeling loved. he has a brother Vic, but Vic never spends any time with him. For some reason he's always going to their basement but Mike never tells me why exactly he does this. I have all kinds of situations that most likely aren't true at all but they always seem to run through my head.

I'm cut off from my thoughts as I hear the sound of a loud thud,

"Yes! I hit it! You owe me ice cream" Mike mocks clearly gloating

"Ugh no fair! I have to share my birthday rations." He always beats me at these silly games he makes up. I throw a rock as hard as I can in Anger, and it flys far past the booey. I see flashes of color spree followed by a loud crack of electricity as the spot where I hit and my rock skips right through the colors.

"No... No no no no no..." Mike curses under his breath

"What was that!" I ask but he doesn't answer a look of fear spreads across his face

"Mike what was that?" I repeat slowly.

He stammers over his words "T-the dome... Y-you broke the dome... I-I can't lose you! I just can't!" A dome? What dome? What does a dome have to do with any of this? How can he be afraid to lose me? I'm only 15, to young to die especially with all of the medicines the Qualem forces on us.

So what is this about a dome? And what would it have to do with losing me?
That's when I realize that Mike is hiding something from me, something very big and very important, and it somehow links to me.

Before I can fully process what's happening Mike yanks my arm, pulling me with as much force as he has in his body. My feet shuffle to follow behind him. He's running faster than I've ever seen him run before, whatever this dome is it has to be really bad and really protective.

"Where are we going?" I finally find the courage to ask. His reply confuses me through all of this mess even more.

"We're going..." He whispers softly

"We're going to Kellin."
"Who's Kellin!" I practically scream. This is all getting to be to much for me. I start to wonder if any of this is even true, mikes probably just playing some cruel prank on me. Although this prank is very convincing. But when I ponder over this idea, I start to doubt that I'm right. I will say mikes pranks can be very low, but he would never do something this crazy. He knows I have major anxiety and wouldn't do this to me.

My breathing starts to get shaky and I start to panic. Fear spreads all throughout my body and I can't shake the thought of me dying from my mind. Whenever I think of dying I think of Monte, and the images of him crawl into my head killing me inside. Ever since monte died a few years ago I distanced myself away from many things I loved, as well as picked up Anxiety and Depression. The exact things that were sinking into me at this moment.

"Come on, hurry." Mike rushes us into his house and down his stairs. That's when I realize where we're going, to the basement. Mike knocks on the door about three or four times and shouts Vic's name. The doorknob begins to turn and that's when I am face to face with mikes brother Vic.

Victor is a very charming man. Long brown hair, toned arms, and a handsome chiseled face. He tends to be very distant though and has a mysterious vibe, I have to say I kind of like it.

"Why did you bring her here, you know I-"
"She's a malious!" Mike blurts and Vic's mouth gapes open.

"Hurry up come inside" Vic pulls me into the basement and that's when I catch a glimpse of a strikingly handsome man.

"Kellin this is Rysiss" Vic says to the man "She's a Malious."

Also, If your wondering my update schedule I honestly don't have one. I'll be updating often but there's no set time I'll update because I like to write stories from scratch rather than writing the whole story instantly.
