The one time in Gotham

<Gotham early days>

Just like any other night filled with criminals and the 1% turns out to be the unexpected memorable night .

Recently abandoned by her mother and father unknown to her. Jessica Tetch , now 17 was moved to Gotham before her own mother abandoned her. She was sent to an orphanage. She was picked on and treated poorly by the staff and other children. Having the last bed close to the cold, abused window. She started to swear of others hating low-life's and the 1% who made the dission to place her there in that ramshackle orphanage. Her only escape being the books from the old library. The annual gala that supported and funded the orphanage every kid had to go. Reason number one is to see if any of the high class would like to adopt a miscreant. The second reason is to milk those who feel guilty dry of all there money as it was a charity event. "This is so dumb" she sat by the food table eating what she could. "These dumb rich people act as though they own everything." She started to angrily stuff her face. "Pfftt ive been there before. Hi the name is Grayson, Dick Grayson." He held his hand out to me as i awkwardly shook it. "So they really do let anyone in don't they." I replied in 'Kind'. "Ha, you flatter me." He puts his hand on his heart. The man name Dick Grayson was wearing a classy black suit with only a white button up shirt underneath. "So what do you want." I asked coldly as the last few guys who tried to hit on me only wanted my body. He look at me with a smirk and started to laugh at me. "Aw your just too cute trying to act tough. Don't worry i have no bad intentions unless... you want me to." I lightly puches his arm laughing with him "im not cute im poor, and don't even think about it dreamer boy." I huff and i turn back to eat more, another boy whom seem like my age came up to dick whispering something. "Hey Tim look at this pretty lady. Um whats your name again-?" Dick asked me as he was holding his friend by the arm not letting him leave. "Oh i forgot to tell you Jessica Tetch." I hold out my hand to shake Tim's, he took it as introduced himself. He was wearing a matte red suit and a whiten button up too. "Nice to meat you miss Tetch, come on dick we need to get ready." Tim spoke quietly but enough for only me and dick to hear. "Go, have a goodnight." I pushed dick on as you moved though the crowed disappeared in it.

(Tim's pov)
I see dick was more worried about chating up i a girl from the orphanage about my age. I swear he doesn't know when to stop, i sigh and walk over to him and the girl trying to see if we can spot the child of the mad hatter. "Dick come on we need to move you cant talk to one person." Bearly whispering, in the moment dick pulled me in and try to introduce the girl. "Hey Tim look at this pretty lady. Um whats your name again-?" She held out her hand to me. "Oh i forgot to tell you, Jessica Tetch nice to meet you." I took her hand, "Nice to meet you miss Tetch," leaning over to dick telling him we have too go. We were in the crowed as i reported to Alfred on the commons "target found. Name Jessica Tetch" i waited a moment and Alfred came back online. "It's a match although no birth records can be found she has a history of moving around a lot with her mother." "Ok thanks Alfred." In the moment the lights start to flicker then it blacked out.

Narrator
The crowed screaming in terror, most hid where they could others tried running but got stopped by goons that had different card faces on the mask. Jessica hid under the table. Tim and dick ran as they quickly got change. "Hello gents and gentle. To see me is to make the tea, the mouses are in the house. Let you fear become the cheir as we play the games my dear." The goons looked too find those hidden grabbing the girl from under the table. "Let me go you big lump." She scream and head butt the guy. As he let go she ran to the oppositing side. "Ah my little hatter whats the matter." The mad matter said as now everyone's attention was on her. "The princess in white will be taken tonight." He started to laugh manoticly. The goons grabbed her and held her as another brought a hat like the hatter attempting to put it on her head. "Hatter you've gone to far tonight let the girl go." A darken voice said as a man in black appear. A pointy helmet and the bat logo claim him as the bat man. "Oh Alice, im glad you could join me in my place. Don't fret Alice i have no malice." The goons put the hat on the girl  sending her in a hypnotic trance. the goons let the girl go as they chuckled and laughed. "My my i cant help but to comply. Dear if you don't mind come find." Her body started to move closer to the mad hatter before she was swept up by the man in blue, Back to the shadows. The mad hatter cried a 'No!' as he started to order to find the girl again.

Jess
I screamed once i was let go "ahhhh who the fuck-" the stranger put his hands up "hey hey hey calm down im one of the good guys. I saved you from the hatter." He try to say calmingly but i was still on a adrenaline high. As my vision tried to clear up now looking at the stranger. "What a dick." I shout looking back to the party. "Do you have a spare, hero? something i can use if i get found again." I place my hand out towards him, he just looked at it semi confused. "Dont worry princess your safe her no need to worry. Shit, they are going to need my help down there just stay right here ok?" I groan sad I couldn't get anything to defend my self but I didn't stop the stranger as he jumped down joining the bat and other like him in red. I sat on the edge of the near by building watching from afar. To my right was the fire escape and behind me on the left was the door for the roof access. I kept my eye on it as the fight continues on, for a minute I could swear the mad hatter looked at me with a smile. It sent shivers down my spine keeping me on edge. After a bit the fight seem to end the police arrived and rescue crews too. The guy who saved me came back along with a smaller fighter who wore a green and red suit an R emblem on the right side of his chest. The two had domino masks on, tried to talk over each other, "sorry let me, whats your relations with the mad hatter?" The younger one said as he stood infont of the obliviously older and taller one. "Ha relations, i never met that psycho a day in my life until today. So relations.... Um- none till the events of tonight, 'close statement.' Happy?" I asked the kid snidely. He smirks at me, "well that concludes my report, your turn nightwing." The man in blue steps up. my savor before he flips his hair dramatically as i rolled my eyes. "Well princess do you have anywhere we can take you before we leave." I chuckle saying yeah the streets as the both look at me unamused "sorry i got no where else after my mother left me here. See you around I guess" i left the roof walking down the fire escape after my time here in Gotham could managed how to climb from roof to roof. I reached the orphanage again where mad hatter was taken in to police custody, watching from the crowed i see that his eye landed on me smiling as he got placed in the vehicle.
