Secrets

'It's time to get out of here...' 15 thought as she slid into a gap under a set of stairs. This mission had kept her from sleep for a while now... among other things.

Like him. The clumsiest number in Numberland, but he was still special to her for some odd reason. 'Odd, ha.' she silently chuckled at her thought.

She carefully manoeuvred out of the building without being seen, and back to her hideout. It was late, 26 was getting ready to leave and 21 was already gone, probably to go see 31 and 32.

"26, has HQ been alright without me?"

"15! How glad am I to see you! Three numbers have asked to see you about the Terrible 2 problem. They've been popping up EVERYWHERE!"

"How many of them?!" 15 groaned and sighed, "I'll sort it tomorrow, I'm going to see 13 tonight."

"You really like my brother, 15. I'm not gonna be surprised if you got married to him."

15 blushed, "I couldn't marry him, 26! I don't even love him!"

26 looked over the top of his glasses, not believing a word she said.

26 left not long after, 15 was left alone. She returned to her office and looked at a photograph she kept on her desk. It was a picture of her and her siblings; 12, 18 and 21- whom she loved them dearly.

But she removed the glass and the photograph to reveal another image, her and 13. 'Oh 13...'

She smiled as she put the glass and her family photograph back. 15 locked up her office and went to go close the main HQ. She heard a rustle and turned around, concerned. 'I'm going crazy, it's nothing.'

Nothing had made 13 more excited than hearing 15 knocking at the door. "15! I've missed you so much!" 13 almost tackled her as she came in.

"I've missed you too, 13." His 3 yellow blocks fell off and she laughed, picking them up and putting them back. She pecked his head and smiled. "Silly boy."

He blushed and grinned widely, "I've been waiting for you, do you want a coffee? You look tired."

When 13 said 'coffee' he meant lava. The cup was burning the flesh off 15's hands.
