I sat in the Pokémon Center, poking at my breakfast. Alain had told me that when Ralts had evolved into Kirlia, I had glowed in the same evolutionary light. My appearance hadn't changed, but the very fact that I had glowed as well made me think about what Vorce had told me.

I was the new Guardian of Life. So was Vorce the original? It had fused it's soul with mine. Did that mean I was technically a Pokémon? Or at least part one?

"Li?" My partner said. I looked down at the floor to see Kirlia standing and looking a short distance away. I looked too, and was surprised to see the Litleo from last night watching us.

"Litleo?" I said. The Lion Cub Pokémon smiled. "Li. Lit leo." It said happily. I blinked and Kirlia walked over to the small Fire and Normal type.

"Kirli, kirlia." My partner told it happily, then the two of them ran up to me. Litleo even butted my leg affectionately.

My breath caught, then I smiled. "Litleo? Can I catch you?" I asked it. Litleo hopped into my lap and smiled. "Litleo." It said happily.

I nodded and took a Pokéball from my belt and tapped the button on Litleo's head gently. The ball opened and Litleo's essence collected inside of it. The Pokéball then snapped shut and rocked up and down for a second before stopping. I had caught Litleo!

My heart was pounding. I was so excited. That's when Alain walked over. He had finished giving Officer Jenny a report on what had taken place last night. I had already talked to her, but I had left out my transformation. Hopefully Alain had as well. I didn't want just anyone knowing about it.

My fiancé stopped at the table and looked at Litleo's Pokéball. "Did you just catch a Pokémon?" I smiled happily and got up from my seat. "Yeah. I caught the Litleo from yesterday. We'll be outside, alright? Come on Kirlia." "Kirli." "Wait. Kia." Kirlia and I had started running out of the Pokémon Center though.

"Come out, Litleo." I said holding out it's Pokéball, which opened and my new partner appeared. "Lit, leo." It said. Kirlia walked next to it, and they both looked at me. I smiled.

"Litleo. I'm both a new Pokémon Trainer aiming to enter the Kalos League, and a new Pokémon Performer aiming to bring smiles to everyone around me. I'll be challenging gyms and competing in Showcases. I'd love it if you would help me in my gym challenge."

"Li!" Litleo said determinedly. I nodded. "Well then to start, let's do a practice battle." I said. "Leo!" "Lia!" My partners told me.

We got set up on the battlefield, with Kirlia on one side, Litleo on the other, and myself on the side of the field. Alain came out to watch around that time.

"Alright. Kirlia, you use Magical Leaf. Litleo, you use Ember." The two Pokémon took a stance and used their moves. Like I thought Ember quickly burned away the shimmering leaves.

"Kirlia! Use Teleport to dodge, and then keep using Teleport." Kirlia did so. I could immediately tell that Litleo was getting nervous seeing Kirlia appearing in different places. "Stay calm, Litleo!" I told it. "You can do this! Catch up to Kirlia and use Headbutt!"

Litleo narrowed its gaze and roared impressively. To my surprise, Kirlia stopped for a second, it's eyes widening. Which gave Litleo just enough time to ram it's head into the Psychic and Fairy type.

"Kii!" Kirlia cried as it flew backwards. "Are you alright, Kirlia?!" I asked it. Kirlia quickly pushed itself off the ground and stood back up. "Li!" It said.

I gave a sigh of relief, then looked at Litleo. Had it used a move just then? I felt like it had. One that I should know too, but which move?

"Alright. Let's try this again. Kirlia. Teleport. Litleo, use Headbutt."

Kirlia began teleporting, and Litleo ran after it. I almost forgot they were battling. Litleo had started to move in a way I wasn't expecting. Running forward, then as it reached Kirlia, just to miss it as my Psychic and Fairy type teleported away, Litleo would backflip into the air and spin to land in the direction of Kirlia's next location. I only remembered they were battling when Litleo landed once and roared it's impressive roar again, causing Kirlia to stop again, and giving Litleo another hit.

It suddenly hit me, and I ran to Kirlia and Litleo. They looked at me confused, but I just smiled. "Litleo. You have such great battle instincts. And the way you battle is stunning. Do you also want to perform with Kirlia and I?"

"Li?" Litleo said. It's eyes widening, then it jumped into my arms. "Li!" It said happily. Kirlia jumped into my arms next, and I began to laugh.

Alain walked up right then, and I looked at him smiling. He smiled as well. "Are you going to eat now?"

I blinked. "Oh. That's right." I quickly hurried back inside. I guess I got too excited. Oops.
