Amara woke up feeling like total shit. Her head was killing her and it felt like she barely slept last night. She rolled over in her bed and picked up her cell phone which was on the nightstand. Her phone showed the little lightning bolt symbol, which means she forgot to plug in her phone last night.
"Oh, just fucking lovely."
She mutter to herself, plugging in the phone. Eventually, Amara gets the motivation to stand up and get out of bed. Her bare feet touch her cold bedroom floors, sending chills up her spine. She quickly regrets ever getting out of bed, but managed to push through it and head out of her bedroom towards the bathroom. Amara turns on the shower and steps in.After Amara has finished showering she wraps her body in a towel and heads back to her bedroom. She rummages through her suitcases which she has still yet to unpack and she picks out an outfit.
Amara heads out to the kitchen to go make herself a coffee. Since living with Kreese, Amara has actually grown to not hate instant coffee so much. She was pretty disgusted with herself over that.
Amara headed to the kitchen where she saw Kreese making breakfast.
"Morning, sleep well?"
He asked her.
"Yeah. What're you making?"
She asked, curiously. She was starving.
"Just some eggs and bacon. Would you like some?"
He asked
"Yes, please. I will die for eggs and bacon."
Amara moaned out causing Kreese to chuckle.
"Yeah, yeah."
He mutters, plating the two plates. The two of them walked over to the table and sat down.
"So I was wondering if maybe today we could get some furniture for my room? I'd love to move out of my suitcases."
Amara lightly chuckles.
"Sure. We can go down to the furniture store today."
Kreese smiles at her.The two of them continue to chat over breakfast, mostly talking about the up-coming All Valley. The two are in the truck leaving for the furniture store.
"Ten bucks for that piece of crap?"
Kreese said aloud while looking at a fake plant in the Ikea showroom. This caused Amara to chuckle.
"On a scale of one to ten, how do you feel about Swedish meatballs after this?"
Amara laughed to him.
"Oh yeah? Your treat, right?"
Kreese laughed. The two continued walking through the showroom until Amara found a nice dresser for her bedroom and a desk.
"Your total is $754.57."
The cashier said, Kreese went to pull out his wallet but Amara had already handed over her bank card.
"Thank you anyways."
She rubbed Kreese's arm. She had the extra money for this. She didn't want Kreese to spend his money on her.
"Where's your billionaire friend when you need him?"
She laughed causing Kreese to chuckle.
"Something tells me he doesn't get his furniture from IKEA, dear."
The two of them laughed.John was very pissed at Terry for what he did to Johnny. He couldn't believe that Terry would do such a thing. But John had a plan to get back at Terry for what he did. It's not like he could stay mad at him forever.
John had loaded the boxes into the back of his truck.
"Looks like we've got a day of building furniture ahead of us."
He smiled to Amara
"Yeah. I guess we do."
She smiled back."Is this the part where you kick me out and send me back to Colorado?"
Amara laughed as Kreese was putting together her dresser.
"I swear to god, you've gotta have such tiny fingers to do this."
Kreese growled out.
"Do you want some help?"
Amara slightly chuckled at Kreese's frustration,
"No, no, no. I've got it."
He angrily retorts. Amara nearly cringed when he dropped the screwdriver on the ground.
"Oh fuck off."
He mutters. After about an hour and a half and a lot of cussing, all of Amara's new furniture is built.
"Thank you so much. It looks great."
Amara thanks Kreese. He wraps an arm around Amara."Hey, look what came in the mail."
Kreese said entering Amara's bedroom. Amara sat up in her bed and Kreese walked over and sat down next to her.
"It's your timetable for school."
He smiled to her.
"Oh, yay."
Amara said with fake enthusiasm. She hadn't been to school in almost two months now. Ever since she found out about her mothers passing.
"Who knows, it could be good for you to get back into a routine. Plus, the school years almost over."
Kreese reminded her. She smiled and nodded,
"Yeah, you're right."
"Plus, it gets you the hell out of my dojo during the day."
Kreese chuckles. Amara hit him in the shoulder,
"Me? No. You love me."
Amara teases him
"Yeah but you're training so much, I think you're going to be too good for the team."
He chuckles and stands from her bed, leaving her to herself.Amara gets a text on her phone, it's from Tory
T: Hey what're you up to today?
A: Not much. I just got some furniture for my bedroom but that's about it.
T: Do you wanna hang out? I wanted to grab some food. I work at a sushi restaurant and I can get us both a good deal.
A: Sure send me the address and I'll meet you there!
T: CoolTory sent Amara the address for the restaurant. Amara stood out of bed and quickly fixed her hair and applied to mascara.
"Good enough."
She muttered to herself. She left her room and knocked on Kreese's bedroom door,
"Come in."
He muttered
"Tory and I were going to go for sushi at the restaurant she works at, is that okay?"
"Yeah sure. I was just going to head down to the dojo, do you want a ride?"
He asks,
"Sure. Thanks."
Amara nods.Kreese drops her off at the restaurant where she finds Tory sitting at a table outside of the restaurant. She notices Amara and waves her over
"Hey, look at you."
She smiles and takes a seat across from her.
"Hey, thanks for coming. I really needed this."
Tory says, sounding a little upset.
"What's wrong?"
Amara asked, concern lacing her voice.
"I've just been stressed is all. I'm nervous about the tournament."
Amara chuckles,
"Why, Troy? You're the best fighter I've ever met. You've got this."
Amara smiles at her. She had nothing to be worried about
"I'm just scared. If we have to close down Cobra Kai, I don't know what to do with myself. I've got nothing going in my life except karate."
Tory explains,
"Nothing to worry about. It's not going to happen, we will not loose this tournament."
"Yeah, I know. It's just that everything good in my life always turns to shit."
Tory sighs,
"Listen to me, Tory, you deserve every good thing that comes your way. I know how hard it is. Believe me, I do. You're the strongest person I know."
"I know, I know, I'm the best."
Tory smirks, feeling much better about herself and much more confident. Amara chuckles,
"Okay Miss ego, remind me why we're friends again?"
She asked causing the two to laugh.
"So what's good here?"
Amara asksAfter the girls had their lunch together, they decided to head back to Amara's apartment to help her unpack her suitcases. Kreese didn't mind. He was very glad to see Amara and story getting along. Kreese knew how hard Tory's life was.
The girls were in Amara's bedroom.
"Looks pretty dull in here, Kreese."
She laughed
"Yeah I haven't really bought much. Just the dresser and desk. Which was a nightmare to put together by the way."
Amara laughed.
"Thanks for having me over by the way."
"You can come over anytime. It's not a problem."
Tory walked over to her bed and picked up a piece of paper,
"What's this for?"
She asked
"Oh it's my timetable for West Valley."
She smiles at Tory.
"Oh cool. Looks like we're going to have a few classes together. Maybe you can get rid of my douchebag lab partner."
"Oh that bad, huh?"
She laughs
"He's always looking at me like I'm going to kill him."
Tory sighs putting her head back in the air.
"Maybe it's because you tried to kill someone there."
Tory laughs
"Yeah whatever."
The two laughed. They enjoyed spending time with one another.
