"Race you there?" Sasha winked at Marcy "Do I have to?" She sighed. Sasha's mischievous grin told her everything she needed to know. Sasha has and always will be more athletic than her, so She asks her to race just so Marcy will do whatever punishment the loser ends up with. "Loser has to get handcuffed to the winner for a day."
"Aw Sash, If you wanted to hold my hand you could have just asked!" Marcy smirked. "Yeah right, Wu." before Marcy could respond Sasha was halfway to the Plantars.
By the time Marcy reached the house Sasha had been waiting there for about five minutes. "Oh come on Mar-Mar! You didn't even try!" Marcy crossed her arms. "I couldn't beat you even if I overexerted myself, Waybright."
Sasha put her hands up in surrender "Okay, Okay! Don't bring my last name into this!" She joked. As much as Marcy wished she could be better than her in anything to do with sports, they just weren't her calling. Marcy knew that her place was in the classroom, not the court. "Don't look so down Marbles! You wanna beat me up in Super Smash to get your hopes up?"
"As if I could ever turn down that offer!" Marcy ran into the house and down the stairs as fast as she could so she could get her switch hooked up to the extra controller.
"You didn't think you could get off that easy, did you?" Sasha said, spinning the cuffs around her finger. Marcy gave an exaggerated groan, "As much as I would love to be right next to you for a day, I have better things to do." She smirked. "I couldn't imagine anything better than talking to me for hours upon end." Sasha gestured to herself.
"Where did you even get those?" Marcy wasn't sure she had seen anywhere you could buy handcuffs big enough for people in Wartwood. "Grimsey lent me them, we have a lot of cuffs just hanging around at Toad Tower." She grinned. "But how am I gonna play Super Smash while i'm handcuffed to you?" Marcy whined.
"I guess we'll find out." Sasha sat down and pulled Marcy toward her. "Can we just wait for one game" She begged "Nope." Sasha put a cuff around her wrist. "But why?" Marcy reached for her controller. "Because I said so." She took the controller and bopped Marcy on the nose with it. "You sound like my mom" Marcy wrinkled her nose.
"Hey dudes" Anne stopped. "Oh. Am I interrupting something." She raised her eyebrow and smirked. Sasha turned bright red. "Shut up, Boonchuy." Marcy giggled and pulled away from her. "You win this time Mar-Mar." Anne walked over to the console and picked up the blue controller. "So what are we playing?" Marcy grabbed her game pouch. "Super Smash Bros" She pushed the little disk into the Nintendo.
Sasha crawled toward the girls and grabbed the small red remote. She doesn't know the controls and can't seem to care enough to sit through the tutorial, So she just spams random buttons. Marcy already has all the characters in the game and she still uses plain old link. "Come on dude! When are ya gonna pick someone else!" Marcy frowned "Link is cool! He's my favorite color!"
"Whatever you say." She picks Mario. Marcy glares at her "What? Mario's a classic character." Anne stifles a laugh. "When did you start liking anything 'classic'" Marcy makes quotation marks with her fingers. "Stop fighting in real life, and focus on the damn game." Sasha interrupts.
Marcy rolls her eyes and averts her focus to the screen. Everything else fades away and she begins to anticipate what her friends moves are going to be. Anne was pretty good at the game because of the many weekends Marcy forced Anne and Sasha to play with her. But she still wasn't good enough to beat Marcy Wu, head of the chess club, Master RTS player, Straight A student except for in gym but only because she was caught reading in class, which only proves her point!
Sasha turns to see what moves Marcy is using because her combos were unreal. She glanced up at her green eyes and thought about what might be going on behind- Wait. Green eyes? Marcy's eyes were brown. She focused on Marcy's eyes, they were glowing an emerald green. It seemed as if they were glazed over, Sasha pulled out her phone and turned on the camera. Her eyes looked the same as always, One brown and one blue.
Marcy pushed her phone down "Whatcha doin'" Sasha quickly closed the tab and turned her phone off. "Ah, I was just fixing my makeup. You know how I am." She sputtered. "Oh-Kay." Marcy said, shrugging it off. "As I was saying, We are gonna take a break from the game and go outside. Do you want to come?"
"No!" Sasha squeaked "Um, no I mean" She cleared her throat. Marcy narrowed her eyes, "Are you alright? Your acting weird." She put her hand on Sasha's forehead. Marcy's eyes glowed green again. Sasha pushed her away and faked a laugh "I'm not sick or anything, just a little tired." Marcy shrugged her shoulders and walked away.
"Anne! Anne. Um, did you see Marcy acting a little off while you were playing?" Sasha exclaimed just as Marcy closed the door. "I don't think so, dude." Anne shrugged "You seem weird though" Sasha thought she had seen green, but maybe it was just the way the light from the screen reflected on her eyes?
