If the beautifully Silver moon could talk
She'd tell of the men on earth who here used to walk
She'd talk about Adam, the first man
Who messed up God's perfect plan.
She'd tell you of Egyptians tall and proud
of how they built pyramids that touched the clouds.
She'd tell of God's son who came to die for us
He never faught, nor lied, nor hit or cuss
She'd say, 'The knights were a sad lot,
Their lives, in dark days were caught
She saw when Columbus sailed away
He found the new land and the American way
She'd say of the men who faught to be free
I watched as you fine chaps got your liberty cree.
She saw Sweet miss Nighingale who tended the sick
And not till they were all well that she blew out her candle wick
And when freedom was what Lincoln pursued
A great Civil war was what ensued
She saw when the world began to fight
To shoot and kill with all their might
She saw when hard times rolled around
She saw the economy do a rebound
She saw when Hitler took the life
of the Jew, she saw when he took his own life too.
She saw the two planes crash into the towers
She saw the poor people hide and cower
She saw when I first went to school
She could tell you the first time I was officially cool
Yes, the moon could tell us a great many thing
under lock, If only that silver face had a
mouth that could talk.~ Written By Gabby F. Mast
