Chapter Two: New Friends

Lucy's POV

Five more minutes to go and the bell will ring. I can't wait to introduce Natsu to my friends.

"As what I said, Heartfilia will you please answer the equation on the board." Our Math Teacher, Gildarts, said.

I went to the front and answer the equation on the board.

The equation goes like..

'(3x² - 4x + 1)(x² - 3x - 2)'

I solved it as fast as I can with the solution...

' 3x² - 4x + 1

   x² - 3x - 2

——————————-

  3x⁴ - 4x³ + x²

- 9x³ +12x² - 3x

————————————————

3x⁴ - 13x³ + 7x² + 5x - 2 '

That's it, I answered it. I hope my answer is correct.

"Oh, very good Heartfilia. You've answered it correctly and fast. You've answered it in 45 seconds." Mr. Gildarts said with a 'very-good-look'.

Everyone in the classroom clapped their hands. Some of them were awwstrucked. Some are saying "Wow, she's really our one and only Mathematician, our one and only Heartfilia" or " She's really great at Math, that's why she's the best in Math in our class" or "Amazing" and some things that are pleasing to the ears.

I already went back to my seat and exactly when I sat down, the bell rang, which means 'It's LUNCH BREAK'. I went to Natsu and asked him if he wants to have lunch with me.

Natsu's POV (When Lucy is answering the equation)

I watch Luce as she answers the equation. She's very good at it. After she answered the equation some said "Wow, she's really our one and only Mathematician, our one and only Heartfilia" or " She's really great at Math, that's why she's the best in Math in our class" or "Amazing" etc.

'Is she really that great in Math?' I thought.

'She's Cool' I thought. I like her. After she sat down, the bell rang. She came to me and asked me if I want to have a lunch with her.

"Do you wanna have lunch with me, Natsu?" Lucy asked with a smile plastered on her face.

"Of course, I would love to." I replied also with a smile plastered on my face.

— At the Cafeteria —

Lucy's POV

When we, Natsu and I, arrived at the Cafeteria, I saw my friends waving their hands which means they are telling me to go where they are.

We went to the table where my friends are sitting, I gladly introduced Natsu to my friends.

"Hey Guys, our new classmate, Natsu, wants to have lunch with us." I said.

"Hi Natsu." They said.

"Uhh-uhh, He-hello?" He said, not sure on what he had said.

"It's okay, don't be shy." I said reassuring him.

"Yeah, don't be shy Natsu/ Natsu-kun/ Natsu-san." My friends said. I saw Natsu smiled. I also smiled at what I saw.

Then it goes to FRIENDSHIP.

Natsu's POV

I had a very great day. I already made a lot of friends, and it's all because of Lucy. At this day, I learned that you should NOT mess up with Erza, that Gray likes COLD things and he's also a STRIPPER, that Juvia has a CRUSH on Gray, that Gajeel likes METAL, that Levy is Lucy's bestfriend and she's a BOOKWORM, that Cana loves drinking BEER even though she's still a child, that Mirajane is a DEVIL MATCHMAKER called the SHE-DEVIL, and many other things. And especially I knew that Lucy is very great at all, that she's the Rank One in our class.

'Wow, she's really great' I thought.

As I was spacing out of my thoughts, I didn't notice that my sister, Wendy, is already there standing in front of me. We left the school and walk all the way home.
