Chapter 6: The Promise
~~ Last Day of the School Year ~~
Lucy's POV
I was waiting for Natsu outside the school because he told me that he have something to tell me. So, I waited for him here.
'It's already 5:00 p.m. He told me to wait for him until 4:30. Where the heck is that guy???' I thought.
I was mad at him because he left me waiting for him.
⇨Time skip: 6:00 p.m.⇦
It's already 6:00 p.m. and yet, Natsu is still not here!! Where is he then???
In the end, I decided that I should go home because my parents will be worried sick about me.
I got up from the bench, where I was sitting since 4:00 p.m., I was ready to go when Natsu came running and yelling my name.
"Lucy.... Lucy..... Luce!!!!" He yelled.
"Natsu, where have you been?? I've been waitong for you here for so long!!!" I exclaimed.
"I'm so sorry Luce. Mr. Macao sent me to the detention room
That's why I didn't get to go here at 4:30. Please forgive me." He apologized
"It's okay." I said.
"So, where are we going?" I asked.
"Come with me."
We ran and ran until we got on top of the hill.
"Luce, let's make a promise here." He said.
"What promise?" I asked.
"Promise me that we'll stay best friends forever. Promise me that we will see each other oftenly after graduation. Promise me that no one, as in NO ONE, will replace me in your heart. Promise me that we will stay the same after graduation." He said.
"I promise. Cross my heart. Hope to die. Stick a needle in my eye." I said as we intertwined our pinkies.
"I promise you that." I said.
After we made a promise, we walked on our way home.
