NICCOLO RUSSO
My eyebrows shoot up in surprise and I quickly stuff the recording device into my suit pocket.
"Hellllooooo!" Valentina yells, frantically waving her arms around with a smile on her face. "Have you seen Len-eeee?" She drags out. Her body was sweating madly, causing her to adopt a temporary red undertone.
Who the fuck is Lenny?
I sigh in response, gently grabbing both her wrists to stop her from moving her arms. "Fuck, Val. You're sweating. Come on, let's get you home." My hold on her loosens and I place a hand on her shoulder.
"Noooooo! I can't!" She yells at the top of her lungs, attempting to escape the room by running away. "Leave me alone!"
Wrapping my arms around her waist, I cage her in so her small figure can't escape. "It's okay. Calm down." I whisper into her ear, causing her to immediately stop and relax in my arms.
Thank God.
Releasing my hold on her, I walk her out of the bar and help her enter my car. She stumbles multiple times, and I wrap one of my arms around her waist to steady her. "If you feel sick, let me know okay?" I softly tell her, pressing a button on the side of my car to let down the window slightly, so she can have fresh air.
The car ride was silent for a few minutes, until I heard sobbing next to me. "What's wrong?" She turns her head to the side, choosing to ignore me, and wipes off the tears with the sleeve of her top. "If you want to talk about it, I'm here." I assure her.

My eyes drift over to the body sleeping peacefully to the side of me as I park my car in front of her house. Her petite figure rose ever so slightly and her soft brown curls stuck to the side of her rosy cheeks. "Valentina." I whisper, gently tapping her shoulder to wake her.
She groans in response and turns her head away from me, bringing her knees up towards her chest for further comfort. I tap her again, "Valentina, we're here."
This time she gives no response and I sigh, exiting the car. Reaching for the car door on the other side, I unbuckle her seatbelt and lift her body from the seat. She slightly shifts around in my arms before relaxing again.
Not having the heart to wake her, I grab the silver keys that were currently hanging out her back pocket and open the front door. Turning on the lights, I slowly walk up the marble stairs while trying not to wake her.
After walking down a never ending hall, I walk into a bedroom which I assume to be hers by the pile of heels and dresses that were lazily thrown in front of a full body mirror.
Pulling back the white, satin sheets, I rest her body on the bed, tucking her in.
"Niccolo." She mumbles out in her tiredness.
"Shhh.." I whisper, pressing a single finger to my lips while removing her shoes.
As I'm about to leave the room, a sudden source of light from under her bed sheets appears, gaining my curiosity. I slide my hand under the sheets and reach for the source of light which seemed to be coming from her mobile phone.
Checking to see if she was still asleep, I swipe right on the phone screen to test my luck. To my surprise, she didn't have a password and I now had access to everything on her phone.
A smile appears on my face as I scroll through her contact list which likely consists of mafia members, drug dealers, and other underworld figures.
Slipping the phone into my pocket, I exit the house, connecting the phone to a laptop I had seated in the back. I patiently wait for the computer to collect all the phone's data, hoping to extract as much data as possible for the chief.
