Chapter 6

"PLEASE, PRETTY PLEASE!" I begged Shigure for the seventh time in 10 minuets, Tohru just suggested that instead of me sitting around all day I should go to school and learn, I was all for the idea because I like the idea of meeting people my own age and it might take some things off of my mind. I've been having a recurring dream and they get more realistic each time just like the one in the forest that was 2 days ago.

"Just let her go damn it Shigure." Orange top complained as he pulled a weird face which made me laugh, "The problem isn't letting her go it if Akito agrees, he hasn't given me a answer to Q staying yet." Shigure explained, everyone had a worried and weird out expression on their face even Tohru. "Who is this Akito person?" I asked, all of there heads turned to me in a instant which worried me but I continued "Are they the head of the family that rules over the rest of you an makes important decisions that may affect the outstretched family?"

They all had dumbfound expressions now and looked at me like I had just said something like "Orange sheep ate the brave mouse's mouldy cheese." The Shigure snapped back to reality (RARE MOMENT!) and answered my hanging question "Yes Akito is like that but only for the members of the family that are like us." He explained as he pointed to himself, Yuki and Kyo.

I nodded my head and went back to eating my dinner, 'Why does that story sound so familiar?' I asked myself as the feeling of familiarity crept over me and the world around me came out of focus and I forgot what I was doing. "WHAAA!" I scream as I fall backwards from my seat on the floor and start choking on my piece of food, "Q-CHAN!" Tohru shouted and came over to me and hit my back so I didn't die.

"T-thanks Tohru." I thanked her and then looked over to the boys and gave them the evil eye "Thank you Tohru for your worry and attempt to save my life!" I said louder so they could hear me much clearer. When the only reaction I got from them was a look over to me I puffed my cheeks out and thanked Tohru for the meal and headed for my room.

"Stupid boys and there selected caring levels...I bet if it was Tohru choking they'd all be worried out of their minds.." I grumbled to myself as I dragged my feet to my room. "Maybe this Akito guy will be like 'I want to see this girl' and then he'll find me spectacular and decided to let me stay with them and maybe care a little more." I continued to grumble as I flopped onto my bed and throw my pillow at the closed door.

"I wouldn't be in this situation if my real family didn't ditch me... my brother from my dream or memorise seemed to really care so why am in this situation with no memorise..." I wondered to myself as the room started to get darker and the sun set. I just laid there in the rooms silence, my eye lids started to get heavy and I was but ready to go to sleep when I hear a whisper. A faint one that I couldn't hear clearly but it got closer with each word. "Your in this situation because your a monster, a frailer and your brother did not see it. . . But I did child."

Suddenly there was a manically laugh that filled the air, my eyes snapped open to hear someone knocking on the door. I got up and answered it to find Yuki standing there, I was shocked because since I'd been here he hadn't really talked to me much. I think one of the reason I didn't talk to him much was because when he was around Tohru he was really kind and nice but a second later he could be beating Kyo to the ground which shocked ne how easily his personality changed and it gave me a wired feeling, it wasn't fear so I really didn't know what it was.

"Hi there Yuki." I greeted him and leant on the door, he smiled at me and then spoke "I'm sorry Q-chan." I looked at him like he had grown two heads and then let it slip "Why are you sorry, I carn't remeber." I told him. I really couldn't everyhting was a slight haze after that.. is the right word dream?

Yuki just smiled, ruffled my hair and headed back down the stairs. I watched after him and once he was gone shrugged my shoulders and followed after him once I had closed my door. Though I didn't head downstairs, the way to the roof was open so I took it apon myself to investigate though it would most likely be Kyo. I climbed up the ladder and saw just what i expected, Kyo and Tohru sucking eachothers faces off. Ha ha got you there, it was just orange top doing his usual stuff and admiring the puffy fish clouds. I walked across to him doing my best to keep balance when I looked over the roof eadge like people always tell you not to do but your just to curious to stop. Well i am one of those people that looked and regreted it deeply!

"Waaa!" I screamed as I ran straight at Kyo, he didn't stand up because he really didn't have time to react. I was clinging onto him and burying my head into his chest as I screamed in my head at myself for looking! "What's up with you?" Kyo questioned me as he awkwardly placed his hand on my head. I'll give him points for trying to settle me, guess he's not been in to many of these situations. He did comfort me though "I kind looked down and remembered I'm scared of height." I told him.

After a second he spoke "Is that all." I stood up vey quickly at this point and pointed my finger at him and shouted "What do you mean is that all, I find it very scary mister just like I bet you hate water!" I stared laughing at his face that I nearly fell off the roof, Kyo caught me though and let out a small laugh as well. "I could drop you.." He suddenly said, I stopped laughing and gave him a serious look. "Try it and I'll come back and take you far out at sea."

Our conversation ended there because I ran away off the roof before he actually got any ideas! I skipped down to find Tohru who was hanging washing out "Hi Tohru-chan! Need any help?" I asked her as I skipped over. She gave me her usual warm smile and handed me one of the sheets "Here you go." She said and I nodded my head and went to hang it up, my height played against  me though and so I had to balance on my tiptoes while trying to peg the sheet to the line. Tohru saw I was struggling and gave me a hand  "Thank you!" I thanked her and picked up the basket before she could. It felt nice helping Tohru out and I seemed to really enjoy it, like it seemed so familiar to me but at the same time I couldn't place it....

"Why the sudden urge to help me out Q-chan?" She asked me as we walked down the stairs, I thought about it for a second before blurting out "I use to love helping out all the time at home.." I then grew wide eyed and stopped. 'What they hell did I just say?!' Tohru also stopped and looked straight at me, I hid my face a little as I tried to figure what I just said. "Q-chan do you remember something?" Tohru asked, I nodded my head slowly and looked her straight in the eye "I have a family what own a big house with a brother and father and...." I just kept going  until I just couldn't remember anything else. "That's all I remember.." I finished.

Tohru gave a big smile and gave me a hug "That's great Q-chan! Maybe soon you'll remember more and we'll be able to help find your family that must be really worried about you." she cheered me on. Tohru grabbed my hand and headed down the stairs into the kitchen to get started on dinner, her words did cheer me up but I didn't feel the warmth and excitement I would feel when getting close to remembering my past. If my dreams are anything to go by maybe remembering isn't such a good idea and I should just look towards the future. Or maybe my dreams are just bad because I'm worried about what my family will be like.   

I hope just hope everything is going to go ok, I like my life here and I just hope it all falls into its preferred places.

*** Tohru's POV!!! ****

Q-Chan's memory was coming back in small pieces which was great news. Maybe she'll remember her real name and how she ended up in the forest in such a bad state. If she does want to go back to her family though this place will get quieter and it will be sad to see her go as she made Kyo cheer up which was good. Ahh what do I mean if she goes, of course she will its her family and I knew if I could be with you mom I would love to. Q-Chan didn't seem to happy though as she told me which is a little worrying, maybe she's just worried about her family.

I took the basket off of Q-Chan and told her she could go which she did and shot straight up the stairs most likely to her room, I placed the basket in the wash room and headed to the kitchen to get started on dinner. I wonder what we could have tonight, definitely no leeks maybe something with fish? On my way I bumped into Shigure and I decided the best person to help Q-chan was Hatori so I should tell Shigure and he can tell  Hatori. "Shigure." I stopped him and he greeted me with a smile which I returned, "Yes Tohru?" he replied. I told him that Q-chan had been remembering things and told him what she had told me, he was quite for a moment looking deep in thought. "Shigure?" I was starting to get a little worried after about a minuet of silence, he looked up and gave me a reassuring smile which helped calm me down "Thank you Tohru." He said as he walked off to his office.

I watched him and kept asking myself if it was the best thing to do, there was nothing I could do now though so I continued on to the kitchen to get started. I hope everything with Q-chan goes ok. Were my last thoughts before I focused on dinner.
