A/N: ive never paid a lot of attention to Albedo ships minus the popular ones so i threw in a temporary kazubedo into this, just cuz they have similar vibes. idk. last minute decision

originally a big vent fic ! basically user saihqra projecting onto albedo for like 10k words

Albedo fixed his shirt, glancing into the mirror to give himself a quick once-over. His good friend, Childe, stood behind him as he fiddled with his buttons before looking up to both of their reflections in the full length mirror.

"Is it okay if I bring another friend along with us?" 

It had become normal now for he and Childe to go to bingo every week, not even to gamble, just for some fun with no goal of winning. Obviously his friend saw it as competitive, although he could still have a good laugh. 

Because of their giggles and jokes, they met another guy, he went by the name Itto - he could also laugh off bingo loses and not even take it that seriously. Itto had announced he wouldn't be joining tonight due to something sudden coming up, which left the original duo to be by themselves, at least that's what Albedo thought.

"Who?" 

"His name is Kaeya, I've known him for a year longer than you and he had bothered me about joining us the next time we went to bingo since I posted about it on my instagram story," Childe continued, "I tried ignoring him the first time he asked but I suppose he'd fit right in."

He glanced at Albedo, awaiting a response.

All the blonde could think about how this friend had never been mentioned to him before, he wondered what his personality could be like and worried if Kaeya joining them might become a regular thing.

"Okay." He said and watched Childe's face light up.

"That's great! Let me know what you think of him after this, if you don't like him I'll let him know he can't come along the next time."

Albedo nodded and checked his watch, they had to leave soon to make it in time, "Is he meeting us there?"

"Yep. He dresses in a lot of blue and is slightly taller than me, he isn't hard to miss. I expect he'll spot us the second we walk onto the property," Childe joked, walking towards the apartment door to leave, "He'll be meeting you for the first time as well, I wonder what he'll think."

Negative thoughts crowded Albedo's brain, even with his efforts to push them away.

Luckily, the building where the bingo was hosted was only a five minute walk from Albedo's apartment building, the path they took led them straight into the car park.

Childe's eyes suddenly squinted, his need for glasses obvious as he barely made out Kaeya's features from across the lot. "There he is! Ahah, he spotted us so fast." 

Albedo looked over to see a man, similar to Childe's description, Albedo still had an odd feeling in his stomach when he was being dragged over to give his greeting. It was something about his aura, the fact they didn't even know each other and would most likely be stuck sat on the same table for a few hours.

He had felt the same about Itto at first, although he had been more comfy considering they weren't made to sit together the first time. 

"Hey Ajax," Kaeya spoke, voice smooth as his eyes met with Albedo's, "You must be his friend?"

As if he couldn't speak for himself, Childe butted in, "Yep, this is Albedo. He's my usual bingo buddy and I met him not long after I met you."

"Nice to meet you."
