One Direction - History (Bramblestar and Squirrelflight AU)

This is my first songfic, so... I don't even know what. Also, I may have had errors in this part, because I have read only up to DOtC (A bad time to be writing this songfic, I know) For now, I'm going to assume that Bramblestar wanted to be with Squirrelflight again. I also had to change some of the lyrics to match the cats' feelings, since the original lyrics were about twoleg stuff. So, without further ado, enjoy!

Bramblestar sang to Squirrelflight while she stared at him in a puzzled manner, sitting at a rock where she could sun herself while watching Bramblestar.

He continued, referring to the time she discovered his training sessions with Tigerstar. With a sad expression that was shared with Squirrelflight, Bramblestar struggled to continue, but managed.

Suddenly, Berrynose appeared from behind a bush.

No, they don't teach you... this in school...

Bramblestar tried shooing Berrynose back, clearly taken by surprise and irritation, but the cream-colored tom remained in his place.

Now my heart's breaking and I don't know what to
do—thought we were going strong. I thought we were holding on... aren't we?

A grin took shape on his face as Bramblestar sang into the chorus along with Berrynose.

Squirrelflight smiled, listening.

Bramblestar pointed his tail back and forth at himself and Squirrelflight.

That the world has ever seen!

Even Berrynose started to beam in delight, seeing his former mentor sing to Squirrelflight.

Berrynose sang the higher part while Bramblestar stared at him in surprise and amusement.

All of the rumors, all of the fights...

The three all frowned at the memories.

But we always find a way to make it out alive!

Their frowns abruptly turned to smiles of delight.

Thought we were going strong...

Bramblestar and Berrynose inhaled deeply before continuing.

Squirrelflight giggled.

Berrynose sang the bridge.

Berrynose shut his eyes, trying to sustain the high voice.

But they don't mean anything...

Bramblestar joined in.

Bramblestar continued without Berrynose because he stopped to catch his breath.

Bramblestar took a deep breath. "Bravo! Bravo!" Squirrelflight purred out, clearly delighted at Bramblestar's plan.
