Hi, again. This is Riley. I have been working on my report and I would like to know what you think. Here is what I have so far:
Rosie McGee, my great grandmother was a very talented writer. She wrote everything down in a notepad that she carried around. One of the places that she wrote about is Club Hey. It was right here in New York. She went there the summer of 1961. This is when she wrote the poem "The Girl With the Long Blonde Hair" It is one if my favorite poems in the book. It is about May Clutterbucket, Maya's great grandmother. She also wrote about Topanga Canyon, the place my mom was named after. In her notepad she wrote, "what a wonderful name for something beautiful." This is why my mom was named Topanga.
What do you think? I think it is pretty cool that I get to find out more about Rosie. Lucas is finding out about his great grandfather, Maya is finding out more about May Clutterbucket, and Farkle is finding out more about his great grandfather. We all get to find out about our past. Isn't that amazing? And, guess what? It turns out all of our great grandparents met at club hey. They were all there at the exact same time. The weird part is that Rosie's notepad talks about May, but it never includes her last name. Maya's mom said it was clutterbucket, but I still want to find out why it never says her last name.
