A New Beginning

"Y/n, I don't want you talking to Andy anymore." Liam stated in a very matter of fact. not a hint of emotion in his voice, but there was an accusing glare in his deep, rich blue eyes. Eyes that Y/n used to adore getting lost in. But where kind and caring eyes had been, were replaced by an icy, distant glare that could be felt across the entire room wherever he went.

Y/n doesn't even remember when it happened, all that she could remember was him telling her he was just "curious", about where she was going whenever she left the house, and trying to milk all the information from her.

Then, literal days later she found out he was tracking her phone. She really wasn't sure what to do at the time, because Liam was still so good to her. He still kissed her good morning and goodnight, he would still cheer her up when she was feeling down, and they still went out on such fun dates together that Y/n just figured it would sort itself out.

Plus, Liam's sister had died recently. about three month ago, if Y/n remembered correctly, she had been killed after some maniac had mugged her at gunpoint in an alley in one of the more destitute parts of the city. Two bullets hit her after she had tried to escape, one to the back of her head and the had been other lodged in her spine. They almost had managed to save her, but the bullet wound in her head got infected, and she was too weak to be able to fight it off, even with medical intervention.

Either way she was probably better off dead. The doctors had told us prior to the infection that her occipital lobe had been badly damaged and she likely would have been blind. Then the bullet wound got infected and had spread to other parts of her brain too, rendering her about two two steps away from becoming a vegetable. and that was just the brain stuff too, they weren't sure if she would ever walk again either. while she probably could have learned to live without walking or vision, the damage the infection caused was the final nail in the coffin, literally.

Y/n thought it would be cruel to break up with Liam so soon after her death, and he was still mourning. he was basically inconsolable. Plus Y/n suspected that his possessiveness was caused by his sisters death, so she figured it would pass as he learned to cope.

Of course, it didn't. She talked to him several times about how uncomfortable it made her feel, and he would just say stuff like 'I'm just so worried about you', and 'I'm doing this because I care about you'. He never gave her a straight answer, just a vague response. Y/n believed him, thinking that he only wanted the best for her, but its been a year later and she still felt like she was drowning.

So when Y/n looked back up at him, not able to find any sign that Liam was kidding, she finally snapped.

"What do you mean I cant talk to him anymore! I'm so done with you trying to 'protect' me, how could Andy possibly be a threat?"

"I'm just being cautious Y/n" Liam stated, making y/n roll her eyes, but he continued anyways "I don't know him very well and I don't want to risk you dying on me"

Y/n let out a dark laugh "You actually think Andy's gonna hurt me? He's my my friend Liam, I've known him longer than I've you. To be frank you're just being paranoid, whenever I do anything you always need to know where I'm going and who I'm going with and its ridiculous."

"I'm just making sure that you don't get hurt Y/n."

"And how you think I'm going to get hurt? you think I'm going to get stabbed while having some tea with friends? Friends I haven't seen in ages because you think they're going to poison my drink or something?" Y/n shouted, voice getting louder and louder as she spoke.

Y/n isn't the kind of person to raise her voice when she's mad, usually she is very calm and collected, but this was just ridiculous.

"I'm not being paranoid!" Liam snapped "I'm just-"
