It was a dark, rainy night in New York City. You've been running for hours. Your feet hurt from stepping in cold puddles. You could still hear the footsteps behind you as you as you turned down the alleyway you couldn't help but think you were losing him.

(April's POV)

It was a dark, rainy night in New York City. I was pushing my bike home. It had gotten a flat tire. My hood to my yellow rain jacket was flipped up keeping me dry. As I walked in front an alleyway I was nearly pushed over. I felt something slam into my bike causing it to fall in a puddle along with the girl that ran into me. She looked to be 16.

"Woah! Hey, slow down. Are you okay?"

Her hair was (Y/HC) and she was small, she seemed to be panicked.

(Y/N's POV)

As I was running in the cold, wet, alleyway I looked back to see if the man was still there and saw nothing, I felt myself come in contact with something and before I knew it, I was sitting in a puddle. Now that I had stopped running, I knew I was screwed. I could feel my chest tightening as if it was swelling shut. I was in so much pain as I could feel my heartbeat in my feet, and blood pounding just begging to go somewhere other than my swollen toes.

"Woah! Hey, slow down. Are you okay?" I looked at a woman wearing a yellow rain jacket. I knew what I had to do...Something I'd never do. But I was desperate to get away.

"Bitte hilf mir..." I could only speak German at the moment as I desperately gasped for air. The woman kneeled next to me. She was taller than me with brown hair and blue eyes.

"I'm sorry...I speak English..." She slowed her words.  " You-okay?" I could understand what she was saying, and just prayed she could figure out what I was trying to say.

"Nein..."I began to cough slightly. I could feel it in my chest.

(April's POV)

"Nein..." The girl began coughing. She was becoming sick. I think Nein means no... maybe I should have paid more attention in school to the different languages.

"I'm going to take that as a no... I don't know if you can understand me. But I'm going to take you somewhere safe, okay?" I didn't really know what else to do. But, I had a gut feeling she needed to go see the boys.

"Ch verstehe..." I helped her up as she wiped water from her face. I began to lead her down the sewer tunnels of New York. She limped the whole way barely able to stand up straight but, wouldn't let me help her.

(Y/N's POV)

She helped me up guiding me through a series of sewer tunnels. As much as I was wanting to regret my decision anything is better than being captured by that man. With every step, and every breath I felt my body screaming for help. She tried to help me walk a few times, but I wouldn't let her. No matter how many sewers puddles I fell in. I was coughing as I stood in the walkway leaning against the wall. I couldn't remember the last time I could stand still.

"Guys...we might have a problem..." She said worriedly. I saw no one and was confused. After a moment they piled into the room one by one. I couldn't help but stare in amazement of what walked into the main room of the subway station. Out of the shadows walked not one...But four giant turtles. If they weren't green and didn't have shells, I would think they were humans.

I took in every little detail about them. The color of their masks. Some had tattoos while others had scars. The way their hands were wrapped, the way they were each dressed. It was amazing. Something I can honestly say I've never seen before, and I've seen just about everything.

(Leo's POV)

I was walking out of the training rooms with my brothers when I heard April's voice echo throughout the rooms. I tossed my towel into my room as I passed by.

"Guys...We might have a problem..." I walked into the living room first.

"What's going on April?" That's when I saw the stranger standing in shock. Her hair soaking wet, and skin filled with goose bumps. She couldn't take her eyes off me but, not in the way humans normally stare...This stare seemed different. More...mesmerized than scared.

(Donnie's POV)

I was inspecting a new computer chip I designed after training. I was the first able to leave the Hashi. After hearing April, I followed Leo my oldest brother out. His gaze quickly adjusted to the woman standing in the entry way.

"What's going on April?" After looking up to see the girl in shock. I adjusted my glasses.

"Who's the new girl?"

(Raph's POV)

After kicking my brother's asses in training, I went to see April. I draped my towel around my neck. She hasn't been down for a while; she's had a lot of jobs since saving New York. That's when I saw the new girl looking at us like we were freaks. Like we didn't already know.

"Who's the new girl?" I guess I'll tell her since no one else will... She's got to quit bringing people down here like that.

"You can't just be bringing random people down here April."

(Mikey's POV)

Raph promised we'd play the Nintendo Donnie put together for us. I've been waiting all day to kick butt in Mario! Instead, I heard Raph complaining as usual. So, I pushed my way into the circle trying to lighten the mood. Clearly having no idea what was happening. But I don't think the others did either.

"Woah! I didn't know you had any hot friends!" I gasped trying to cheer her up since she was clearly scared. I mean...who doesn't like a good compliment?

(Y/N's POV)

"Woah! I didn't know you had any hot friends!? They all wore masks.

I don't know why I keep trying to talk. It's not like they can understand me. But I don't know how else to communicate...I mean...I'm lucky they speak English.

"Ihr seid schildkroten?" I was trying to ask if they were turtles. The one in red seemed hostile. Yet he has a symbol painted on him stating the word family.

"Donnie what's she saying?" He looked at the purple one with glasses.

'Okay...So, that must be Donnie in the purple...But there's no way a turtle-..." My thoughts were interrupted

"I think she's speaking German..." He turned towards the lady. " April. Where did you find her."

I looked at the nerdy one impressed by his intelligence.

(April's POV)

As the boys entered the main area of their home the girl was surprisingly calm. Donnie glanced over at me. She seemed to be inspecting them.

"April where did you find her?" I knew I had to make a good excuse for bringing her down here. I just had a gut feeling... But I can't use that as an excuse can I?

"There was a man chasing her...." That really didn't sound like a good excuse to bring her here.  "She was clearly in danger." I shrugged realizing that didn't make it any better. I tried atleast. Hopefully, they won't stay mad at me.
