Leona instantly regretted his decision to help the little Lioness when she knocked on his door at the crack of dawn. He could smell the freshly prepared meat and eggs, causing his stomach to grumble in complaint. With a heavy sigh of reluctance Leona dragged himself up and out of bed, and stared bleary-eyed at the bright eyed and busy tailed female.

"Morning! I'm ready for my first lesson!" She said with an irritating chirp in her voice, and held the tray out to him. He only grunted and turned his back to her. He left the door open as his only sign of welcome.

"Not much of a morning person are you, Senpai?" She walked in, setting the tray on his nightstand.

"No, and I don't understand anyone who is." He snagged a piece of ham and munched on it.

"Early mornings are beautiful though..." to prove her point she walked to his window, tossing the curtains open and stepping out onto his lanai. The sunrise greeted them with radiant color. "Especially when you've got a view like this."

Leona flinched at the sharp glare of the sun... but as his eyes focused he took in the colors of the morning sky, and couldn't help but silently agree with her.

"Where's your familiar?"

"In bed, he's not an early riser either, so I left him some food and a note telling him where I'd be."

"Mmmm..." was all he replied, and focused his energy on consuming his food. When the plate was finally empty, he stood up, stretched out and got dressed. Yuu stayed out on the lanai so as not to disturb him, or risk seeing something she shouldn't.

"So..." she tapped her fingers together nervously. "Thanks for agreeing to coach me, Senpai. I know you didn't want to but-"

"Don't thank me just yet." Leona grunted, slipping on his PE shirt as he walked up behind her. Yuu immediately felt dwarfed. He caged her in between his arms and bent in low to whisper in her ear. "You may come to hate me after everything I do to you."

"Eep..." her entire body tingled and she fidgeted nervously. "W-w-we should get started!"

She ducked under his arm and scrambled into the room. Leona let out a light chuckle and rolled his shoulders.

Perhaps this could be more entertaining than he thought.

Leona started her off with vigorous calisthenics. They jogged around the dorm at a steady pace... at least for him. Her small stature made her fast enough to keep up, but he immediately noticed how quickly she tired out. He slowed down some, and gave her a nudge forward to push her ahead of him.

"Keep going, dont stop until I tell you to." He ordered and watched her frame as she ran in front of him. His scowl deepened when he noticed something right off. She was built like a prepubescent, short, thin, with only the slightest hint of curves in her breast and hips. "Okay stop, stop!"

He snagged her by the back of her shirt, jerking her to a halt. She yelped and fell back on her butt, her shirt still in his hand practically hanging her up by the neck and shoulders.

"Ow!"

"How old are you?" He demanded.

"Huh?" She tilted her head up. "I'm 16, why?"

"You sure about that?" He let her go and crossed his arms. "You didn't skip a couple grades?"

She scowled at him and got to her feet dusting herself off.

"Look, I may be short but-"

"It's not your height that's the problem!" He stabbed a finger at her. "Our race has a very specific physical growth calendar. If you're really the age that you say you are you should be way more developed. Has your family been malnourishing you?"
