Funny just how much time can change... I've gotten taller and have even got used to the dorms and my schedule.
Kaname and I don't really involve ourselves with each other for any reason other than business, there's the occasion we'll work together with something for school or discuss the night class and his plan for Redo. Which is still businesses, just with tea, coffee, or lunch. We also have to go to balls and gatherings occasionally together for pureblood reasons...I know Kaname's planning something for my aunt Shizuoka, but he won't say and only briefly gives away his intentions. We don't really talk about her otherwise. I've also noticed his interest in Yuki, and have been sadly, in his head unwillingly long enough and found out quite a lot... I personally don't really agree with this whole "pure-blood" "keep within the family to stay pure" business that's going on... But there's also been quite a few times Kaname and I have been told or requested to marry, of course we both refused, and continue to ignore such nonsense.
Even if I hadn't denied the marriage request, Kaname has got eyes for someone else already. It's said to be normal, so I won't get in the middle of it... I'd rather not... Though, it's going to be bothersome unless I find someone, even if I'm not interested in them. I would only need them for a little while anyways to come up with an excuse not to marry, because it's starting to look disrespectful and I'd rather not make the vampires choose either side. I can tell it wouldn't go very well for either of us, especially because of Kaname's popularity and the fact that he's been more involved with others than me.
So if I could just find someone, that would be great. Hate to say it, and I hadn't noticed before since I've had no interest in finding a lover beforehand, but I'm a little picky.
"*knock knock*"
"Yes?" I call from the back of my room, fishtail-braiding my long and thick silvery white hair.
I like it long but not too long, so I've decided to keep it a little ways past my hips.
"Lady Hio, it's almost time for class to start. We should be heading out soon." Luca calls from right outside my door.
Speaking of that, it reminds me just how much work that has collected on my desk and in my room since yesterday... Typically, I'm a responsible and well behaved teen. But this work is becoming a little taxing... I'll request a stand in from back at my mansion to take care of some of the meager work, that should take care of over half of it.
"I'll be out in a moment." I respond in my typical voice, which seems to give the impression of a nonchalant, cold, calm, but always business person, which is not always the case.
I tie the end of my hair to hold the fishtail braid together, and I leave it in the front. Then I stand up and head over towards the door and open it. I'm a little surprised when I see Luca waiting for me beside the door.
"You waited for me?" I ask, then I let the doors close by themselves behind me as I walk down the hallway beside, and then in front of her.
"Of course, you did not permit me to leave. How could I be so rude as to dismiss myself without your permission?" She responds calmly, also in her typical tone.
{I guess I don't have to worry about her taking my tone differently than intended when she does the same thing. Also, not in the way she said it, but in what she said, it sounds as if she's trying to imply something here. It doesn't bother me though, fortunately.}
"You don't have to speak so formally, I would like to have a... What's the word again?... Oh, friend. I'd like to try and make a 'friend' while I'm bound to this school. So please talk to me as you would talk to a friend, and address me as such as well please." I explain.
