(This will be another short story, probably 12 chapters, like the Ms marvel story. I will post 1 chapter a day until I finish writing it. Once I finish I'll just publish everything I've got at once)
"Alright Doctor, you in here?" Riri Williams, also known as Ironheart, called out as she entered through the doorway moments after the door had slid open. She pulled off her helmet and looked around the dark room. "Doc!"
The Doctor in question was a relatively new member of the staff in this new shield facility the avengers had recently began working out of. Riri rubbed her back as the memory of this afternoons battle came back to her.
"Coming!" Riri was quickly pulled from her thoughts at the yell coming from beyond another door. He had a nice voice.
Riri tapped her foot impatiently as she fiddled with the helmet in her hands. Moments later the door opened and the doctor came in causing her eyes to widen in surprise. She had expected some old guy but instead it was someone probably around her age. It also helped that he was kinda hot too. He smiled and walked towards her. "Ms. Ironheart. A pleasure. I'm doctor (y/n) (l/n)"
"Right" Riri nodded as (y/n) motioned for her to sit down. "Before we start here you should know that I don't believe this will have any affect whatsoever and honestly I'm shocked Shield would hire a chiropractor"
"Well you won't be the first to admit to me that you were wrong and I doubt you'll be the last" (y/n) replied as he glanced at Riri's armor. "I can't really do anything with that on"
Riri shook her head before whistling, suddenly her armor fell off and each individual piece flew itself into the corner of the room before reassembling into a full suit of armor. "Neat" (y/n) nodded before turning back to Riri. She was wearing a white tank top and blue jeans. "You ready to begin?"
"I suppose so" Riri sighed as she glanced around the room and noticed the gun and drill looking objects on the table beside her seat. "So should I tell you what's wrong with me?"
"No need" (y/n) shook his head. He walked up behind Riri and placed his hands on her skull. She tensed up and began to ask what he thought he was doing before she was cut off by the doctor speaking. "Back pains" He lowered his hands to the sides of her head and felt her temples. This actually felt kinda nice now that she had a moment to process it all. "Did you hit your head as a child?"
"How did you-" Riri was cut off again by the boy moving his hands again and feeling the back of her head.
"Head trauma never truly heals unless dealt with properly" the man let go of her head before grabbing a drill looking thing from the table. "Hold still, okay?" Riri nodded hesitantly.
(Y/n) held the drill looking thing against Riri's hip. "That back pain of yours isn't caused by your back. It's actually a result of an ankle injury"
"Ah, I see" Riri spoke sarcastically. "So naturally your about to drill my hip"
"Naturally" (y/n) smiled widely before turning on the device in his hand. Riri yelped at the strange sensation, a sensation she knew she'd never be able to describe.
"That hurt?" (Y/n) asked and Riri shook her head. "Good" (y/n) removed the device after another few seconds. "How's your back feel then?"
Riri hated to admit it but she couldn't feel her back pain anymore. Her silence told everything. "Good" (y/n) nodded. "You'll want to come at least once a week for the next eight or so weeks. Otherwise the pain could come back"
"You got it" Riri began to stand but (y/n) pushed her back onto the seat.
"We've still got work to do on you... unless you want your body to be below what it could be?" Riri sighed but shook her head. (Y/n) smiled. "Good. Tell me about yourself"
"What do you want to know?" Riri asked as (y/n) put the drill looking thing against the back of her skull, right above the end of the neck. It turned on and suddenly Riri yelped in pain. (Y/n) frowned. "I assume that hurt? That would be the head trauma" Riri ground her teeth together as she felt like her skull was being ripped open from the back. Luckily it ended a moment later. "How's that feel?"
Riri rubbed the back of her head as the pain left her. "It feels... clearer. Like my mind was clouded and now it's not"
"Good. That's good for our first session" (y/n) spoke as he put the drill thing down on the table and once again put his hands on Riri's head.
"What's that you keep doing?" Riri asked as he felt around. "Some sort of superpower?"
"No, no. Nothing so flashy. This is something anyone that's trained right can do" (y/n) replied, he stopped moving his hands when they reached Riri's forehead. "Does the great and powerful Ironheart have asthma?" (Y/n) almost laughed at the idea of the girl having such a pedestrian weakness.
"Very minor asthma" Riri replied with a nervous laugh. "Isn't much of an issue"
"We can probably have that almost gone by the time I'm done with you"
Riri's eyes widened at the thought of that. "That's not possible"
"You've got no idea what's possible sweetheart" (y/n) smiled before placing the drill thing right above Riri's cleavage. She blushed and was glad for a moment that the boy couldn't see her face.

"Alright Ironheart, I'll see you next week" (y/n) smiled as he put down the device in his hand. Riri quickly stood and smiled at the lack of back pain that accompanied her standing up.
"I feel amazing" she whispered as she glanced around the room. "Twenty pounds lighter at least. And I'm barely even thinking more than I have to. I can't remember the last time I went without overthinking everything around me"
(Y/n) smiled as he crossed his arms. "Ready to apologize then are we?"
Riri groaned as she realized she had been wrong. "You couldn't let me enjoy this moment?" (Y/n) shook his head with a smug smirk. "Fine. I'm sorry I didn't believe this would work" (y/n) raised an eyebrow. "And I'm sorry I was so rude about shield hiring you... happy?"
"Very" (y/n) smiled as he watched Riri walk towards her armor. It turned around and opened in the back before she walked into it. It closed behind her. "Neat" Riri picked up her helmet from a nearby table and held it in her hands.
"See you next week Doc" Riri smiled at him sweetly.
"Next week Ironheart" he nodded with a smile of his own. The door opened.
"Actually it's Riri, Riri Williams" Riri turned around and quickly exited through the door before it closed behind her.
As she walked out of the doctors office Riri couldn't help but think on how quickly her opinions on him had changed. She had thought he was essentially some ridiculous con artist when she had entered his office but now she was completely convinced what he was doing was real. Her back was the evidence to support this change in opinion.

(I felt bad for killing off Riri the one time I used her as a love interest before. She deserved better and I'm gonna give her better)
