A/N the sire bond isn't broken in this

When Lizzie was woken up at 3 in the morning by the sound of crying, she was expecting to see a lower schooler crying about a nightmare, she wasn't expecting to see Hope a few meters outside of her room, wrapped up in Landons arms. Her confusion covered her heart break, in the moment she wasn't thinking about the kisses she shared with Hope over the last few weeks, or the night in the motel, or the way Hope protected her, she wasn't thinking about how she's probably just lost the girl she's been madly in love with for years. No. She was just confused, confused about why Hope would be all lovey-dovey to her, only to run back to her ex the moment he got back.

Maybe she was a distraction or a rebound this whole time. Maybe Hope was using her for sex, to forget about Landon. Did she abuse the sire bond to forget about Landon?

Hope must of sensed someone standing there because her eyes meet Lizzies teary ones. Hope just turns her head away and hugs Landon tighter, effectively making her decision.

Lizzie swallows her tears and backs away into her room, closing the door before sliding down it. She wraps her arms around her knees and cries into them. When will she learn that no one will ever love her?

When will she learn that she's alone?

It's been a week since Landon returned from limbo she's managed to avoid Hope for the whole week, but today she didn't have that luck.

"Yes, I'm on my way to the grill now." She says over the phone and pulls her jacket on, pulling her door open. "No, Dad, I'm not late, I'm- Hope."

Hope looks up from where she had been going over her speech in her head. "Hi."

Lizzie sighs as her Dad complains over the phone. "No, Dad, I don't need a rain check."

"Yes, you do." Hope says. "Hang up the phone, we need to talk."

Lizzie hates that she can't fight Hopes command.

"I'll take that rain check, Dad." Lizzie tells her father. "Love you too." She then hangs up her phone. "What do you want?"

"You've been avoiding me." Hope points out.

"Yes I have, well done, Sherlock." Lizzie says sarcastically. "Your boyfriend is back."

"I know." Hope nods. "Look, Lizzie-"

"Save it, Hope, I was just a distraction for you whilst he was gone, it's fine."

"No, you weren't just a distraction, Lizzie. I don't understand my feelings for you quite yet, but I do know that I have feelings for you, in some way. I need time to figure them out." Hope tells her.

"Don't bother, Hope, you and I both know who you're gonna choose. Just keep me from anymore heartache, ok?" Lizzie tries to push past her, but Hope roughly pushes her back into the room and slams the door shut.

"No! You listen to me, and you listen well, Elizabeth! You do not get to play the victim here, I haven't done anything wrong here, I didn't know Landon wound ever come back, so I came to tears with that and I tried to move on, and it just so happens I did that with you. You are sired to me because we both had feelings for each other before you turned, that means I felt something for you whilst I was with Landon. That means deep down, I've been falling for you longer than I've known. So just please, give me time to figure out what I want." Hope begs. "Give me time to figure out how to love you."

"I can't go through anymore pain, Hope. I died, I don't want to spend my second chance, hanging onto hope that you might love me back." Lizzie whispers sadly and sits on the edge of her bed.
