He didn't sleep well that night, or the next, but Monday night he made sure to get the rest he needed. He didn't want to appear tired in any way. He didn't want to give the impression he didn't care. So, when he woke Tuesday morning, he took a shower and then proceeded to stand in front of his closet for several minutes, deciding what he wanted to wear that day. It was going to be a hot day, so he didn't want to wear anything to dark. He also didn't want to wear anything that would get him easily recognized by his fans. So, that put him in a dilemma. Most of his clothing choices scream MICHAEL JACKSON, while others are simply to dark to wear.
He then looked at the back of his closet and noticed an outfit he hadn't tried yet. It was a very light blue button up shirt, black pants and sneakers. He also decided that he would wear his sunglasses, and a sun hat. He set everything out on his bed, then pulled out sweatpants and a t-shirt from his closet, putting them on. He walked around his house, looking at different things. Remembering things that happened that were associated with those things. He walked into his library, and looked at his collection. Once he found the book he wanted, he grabbed it and sat in his chair. He grabbed his reading glasses and set them on the bridge of his nose, then allowed himself to be lost in the world of the book.
Hours later, he was grateful that he had told one of his workers to come and tell him that it was 1 pm. He thanked her and ran up to his room. He got dressed in his outfit and headed back downstairs to the awaiting vehicle. They played music on the way there, but he didn't pay much attention to it. His mind was lost in what today could bring for him. He then had a scary realization that she could be with the press and made up the story to see how he would react to it and now she was writing a piece on how he was doing drugs and was gullible enough to tell her what she wanted to hear.
He began to tear up at the thought of it. He hoped and prayed that she'd be there, because then his thoughts would be burned up and thrown away. They pulled up to the park and he took a deep breathe to calm himself down. Then he got out of the vehicle and looked around the park. He didn't see her, and that made his shoulders slump and a frown etch onto his face.
Seeing as how he was already there, he decided to walk around the park. When he turned the corner around a hedge, he heard laughter from many children and a few adults. He looked up to see a crowed gathered around a figure that was miming a mime. This figure was Minnie. He smiled and walked over to the crowed, watching the show that she was putting on. He laughed along with everyone else when the mime almost reacted to her.
When she noticed him she smiled and waved.
"Alright folks and mime. Im sorry but my bit of fun ends here." She turned to the mime. "Sorry for the trouble. Its just something that i used to do with my husband before he passed away."
The mime nodded and put on a sad face, then pretended to shake her hand. Then he left. He frowned when he heard that she was married, then frowned deeper when she said that he had passed away. He didn't know why he was sad to hear that she was married, he just was.
"You know, if you keep frowning like that, it will get stuck that way and you'll get wrinkles." he jumped at how close her voice was, then looked up at her.
"So ive been told."
"Really, who else has said that?"
"Tons of people. Now, seeing as how you have managed to drag me out here with your mysterious ways, and have completely got my attention, What do you want to do? Where do you want to go so we can talk?"
"I thought that we could just walk around the park and ask each other questions. How does that sound?"
"Okay."
They began the walk, it was silent at first, neither of them knowing who should talk first. So he broke the silence.
"Earlier you mentioned to the mime that you had been married, but he passed away. May I ask what happened?"
She stopped walking and grabbed the chain that was around her neck.
"Im sorry, if its to personal you dont have to answer."
"No, no its okay. I just, Ive never really talked to anyone about it before. My husband...Joseph, died from taking to much of a sleeping medication. He had sleeping problems for many years and we couldn't figure out a way to help him sleep. So, his doctor prescribed him a drug called propofol. It worked, and he slept, but it wasn't real sleep. It was drug induced so he wasn't truly getting the rest he needed. He eventually became addicted to the stuff. His doctor realized that and began a treatment with him, but none of the stuff that he was trying to use instead was working, so the doctor gave him the propofol. He left him alone for what he said was 5 minutes, and when he came back. Joe was dead. I hated him and the doctor for what happened, but eventually I realized that i couldn't hate him. So i moved on and now I'm here."
"Im so sorry. I cant even imagine what you went through. Did you have kids with him?"
"Me personally? no. But he had been married before and had two children from that, and one was through artificial insemination. They were beautiful children. But we never really had the chance to try to have a child of our own. If he was still alive today, we probably would. I helped him raise them, i still am. They are only teenagers now."
"Wow. I know this seems weird to ask, but how old was he?"
"He turned 50 just before he died."
"Really? How old are you?"
"Younger than that. By quite a few years. I met him when he was 30, but we got married when he was 45. Im just, much younger than him. I love him though, with everything in me. No matter the age difference."
"thats beautiful. how did you meet?"
"Well, that is harder to explain then one may think. You see, he found me. and to this day i still dont know why he was looking for me. But he found me and befriended me, then he started a relationship with me and well, you know the rest."
"Do you have any thoughts as to why he wanted to find you?"
"Nope. All i know is that im happy that he did."
